Business Startup Ideas: Use Internet Business Plans or Fail

Internet business plans are a core component of a successful internet business. Without a workable plan with detailed steps to follow, you are more likely to fail. The fledgling marketer is easy prey to all the new products, launches, emails promising riches, and tantalising shiny new objects offered by internet wolves. Having a keen desire to be a part of a growing empire (and maybe tell the 'boss' where to shove it); allows one to believe all the hype put out there by unscrupulous 'fleecers' - who are very, very good at what they do.

Let's face it, there will always be sheep and there will always be wolves. Neither are good or bad in themselves, they just ARE. Knowing that in the beginning stages you are vulnerable puts you 50% ahead of those who are too lazy, too arrogant, or too impatient to map out a path; because forewarned is forearmed!

If you have any kind of budget at all, get a mentor! Sure, you don't NEED one, you can get there with careful planning, attention to detail, and studying other successful internet business models. It will take longer, and you're bound to spend unnecessary money on a product or six, but you will get there. But if you're reading this and haven't maxed out your credit card yet - get a mentor. You can always find one at your budget level, and here's a promise I make to you: the list of mentors at the end of this article are people who are honest, ethical, and very good at what they do.

That's the reason I'm affiliated with them. Without their guidance, I just wouldn't be here now. There must be many more who's services I haven't come across or used, but this is my personal recommendation and I'll stick with what I know.

I learned the hard way. Two years ago, I thought I didn't have the money for a mentor, and I thought I was smart enough to figure things out for myself. 18 months later I REALLY had no money - in fact I was in debt up to my eyeballs! I had to eat humble pie and be on the receiving end of what felt like charity to me. Ignorance and arrogance is costly! Actually, it was simply a helping hand from good friends, but I prefer giving to receiving. Who doesn't! I bless the learning and the humbling, but with hindsight I wish... oh well. That's why I can write this with authority!

I spent months information-gathering; I endured long periods of burnout having gathered TOO much information; I went into depression believing that this is too hard; I struggled with technical distractions, mental blocks, and widgets that wouldn't do what I wanted them to do (and which weren't necessary in the first place!).

We are not taught to be self-starters. School teaches us with a curriculum; and working for someone else gives you tasks you have to finish. Here we are totally on our own - and we need to continually motivate ourselves and eliminate distractions.

Using a business plan sends a message to your consciousness that you're serious. Having a path to follow helps you to keep focused and on track. When you've a long-term plan you have a daily, weekly, and monthly checklist. Committing to do all you can do on your checklist is a workable goal, and each 'done' tick gives you a sense of success and boosts your confidence. Keeping your inner eyes focused on your goal/reward - short and long - also helps maintain focus. And knowing that you've mapped a path to success, that if you just follow it you WILL achieve your goals, is a mighty tool indeed...!

Until you can afford to outsource, stay with what you know. Knowing that you're avoiding carrying out a particular task because it's a weak point means being able to forgive yourself (understanding is the foundation of forgiveness), and ask for help. Ask on forums (Warriors, Backlinks, and Keyword Academy come to mind), and meanwhile go on to the next item on your checklist. Fivers is also a great resource for those with limited budgets, if you really can't figure it out.

Knowing your strong and weak points highlights your motivational triggers; use this knowledge to post pictures or photographs or whatever means you need to keep your focus on your long-term goal. By the way, you need to know exactly what this is! Or how can you keep yourself motivated? Find pictures or some kind of visual representation of what you're aiming to achieve. If you want a home, put up pictures of homes you find desirable. Same with cars, foreign places, - whatever reason you have for wanting a successful internet business. Concrete reminders help us learn to disregard the voice that says - too hard, too tired, this won't work.

With so much to learn and do, without a checklist of 'must do's' you're likely not concentrating properly on taking the actions that will bring you success. rel=nofollow [http://easyinternetbusinessonline.com/use-internet-business-plans]Using internet business plans and a properly constructed checklist means you have freed yourself to concentrate on your goal - building a successful internet business.

Small Changes Can Make Big Differences

You don't have to do dramatic things to change your life. I saw an article recently that American Airlines saved $40,000 in 1987 by eliminating one olive from each salad served first class. It has got me thinking. It is so often the little things that make big differences. Who would have thought that one little olive would make a difference?
Have you ever thought about how the cumulative effect of something you don't even think of can be quite phenomenal? Take Lattes for example: One Latte a day doesn't sound expensive. Who would notice 2 - 2.50? It's your daily treat, isn't it? But think about it. Let's say you have a Latte once every weekday: that is 10 - 12.50 a week. Still not too bad! But in a month it starts mounting up to 42 - 52.50 or even worse, 520 - 650 a year!
I read an article that said that half a muffin negates the average amount of energy you use in an hour's workout! Who eats half a muffin? One hour of sweat wasted! Who would have thought that a simple treat after exercise might actually make you gain weight? One treat a day can make a big difference to your weight over a year.
So one tiny treat a day can make a big difference to your bank account or your waistline!
Now before you all rush out and deprive yourself of absolutely everything, it is worth considering that it is the little things that can make a big difference to achieving your dreams too. Every mountain only gets climbed by taking the first step. One step doesn't sound much, but add each step together and you can scale amazing heights!
So here is a question for you:
What is the one small thing you can do today that will make a big difference to your business by next year?
If you run your own business making a business call, mailing a newsletter, tweeting about a course you run doesn't sound like much does it, but think about the accumulative effect that it can have. Most sales (about 60%) only happen after the fifth contact with someone, most people (88%) give up long before then. Imagine if you considered each contact as the small thing that you needed to today.
A cluttered house can be decluttered, by simply spending a few minutes each day tackling a drawer or a shelf at a time. What small action would make a difference to your administration?
Imagine what you could achieve by spending fifteen minutes a day working towards your goal.
One olive can make a big difference! What is the one thing you can leave out or add to your day today?

How to Find Inspiration When Facing the Google Challenge

There are many times in life when you really want to come up with a great idea, or find a solution, or start to write something and your mind just draws a blank.

Writers experience writer's block whereby they just stare at a blank sheet of paper for hours on end, although these days that sheet of paper is a visual image on a computer screen as opposed to the real thing. In a difficult emotional situation you often find that you just don't know what to say. At work, you may find that inspiration escapes you at just the wrong moment.

A good friend of mine said the other day (not for the first time) that she wants to start her own business. She is interested in fashion and has ideas for a boutique. Her husband is not so keen on this idea and said instead "just do something on the internet". The question uppermost in my friends mind was what could she do on the internet? She was lacking in inspiration, and her husband wasn't providing any further guidelines to assist in this matter.

Setting up an internet business is a lot harder than you might think; those who have gone through the hoops know just how very difficult it is. But we are bombarded with encouragement and inspiration to do this on a daily basis. I have stopped counting the emailed offers which arrive in my inbox every single day to learn how to make hundreds of dollars, thousands of dollars or to become "one of the many internet millionaires". Apparently we can all do this by following certain "tried and tested formulas". We are encouraged to think that it's easy to make our millions upon the internet.

And if you are lacking in inspiration, you can even get help on different ideas for internet businesses and upon creating products to sell. Anyone reading these "incredible offers" could be forgiven for thinking that it is easy. But it is rarely easy to get noticed upon the crowded streets of the internet. 2010 is not 2000, and a million miles away from the early nineties on the net.

There are billions of people competing for a share of the main streets of Google. This means you have to be unique, have great products which people know that they need, and that they are looking for, and have the SEO expertise and web writing ability to get you ahead of the rest. This makes setting up business in the offline world look like a piece of cake by comparison.

For example, if I had been inspired to open a sandwich shop, and knew that my sandwiches were as good, if not a little better, than the best available, I could easily identify my competition in the area. I could perhaps simply open my shop on the opposite corner to that other shop where all the customers are used to going. They couldn't help but see my shop when they pass by; what is the likelihood of those customers trying my produce and becoming my customer instead? I know this is a simplistic example, but I'm sure you can get my drift.

On the internet, you cannot see all of your competitors. Not only that, there are competing customers from all over the world and every single one of them is trying to get exactly the same shop position as you. None of them want to be at the other end of the street, or on the next street, in the suburbs or the countryside. They want to be exactly where you want to be. The rent you have to pay to get into that position is unlimited, ongoing and unquantifiable. That rent involves having a lot of inspiration and a lot of support.

So if you decide to set up an internet business, you have to love what you do; you have to love your products and fully believe in them. Otherwise you will not have the necessary inspiration to keep on fighting your way up the Google streets. You also have to love business, to love marketing, to love a challenge. Google challenges you to become inspired and creative to a greater degree than ever before. And it will only become more difficult as thousands of new and enthusiastic competitors face this challenge every single day.

You have to dig ever deeper into your reserves of mental strength and determination. You have to draw on your reserves of self-belief and self-confidence. Not only that you have to be ready for knock-backs and get used to bouncing back with fresh ideas and new inspiration, new energy. The internet challenge is anything but a passive one.

I am very lucky as I have a lot of support from my other half; if I didn't have that I just could not do what I do. I am also lucky in that I know how to use my mind to best advantage; when short of inspiration I know how to take a step back and change gear so as to allow my more creative mind to surface. Hypnosis has played a big part in my life for many years, and I use it now more than ever.

Hypnosis will relax you and recharge you and allow you access to your creative mind all at the same time. Hypnosis can be used to build confidence and determination so as to have the ongoing energy to face the internet challenge and keep on going until you reach the top.

Can the "Main Street Marketing Machines" Mega Business-In-A-Box Keep the Tremendous Promise?

Does the "Main Street Marketing Machines" Business-In-A-Box deliver what they say? The promise is huge. So let's see. Now, while there is no, and probably never will be a magic wonder that will set up a whole business from scratch in a blink of the eye, you should not expect this from "Main Street Marketing Machines" either. But one thing seems certain: It is way more than just a readymade business model. This thing will provide you with a complete set of tools that will make you a confident, and professional business consulting, and local business traffic providing hero! No matter if you are a complete beginner or a long struggling online marketing entrepreneur with advanced knowledge, this package creates a complete new business around you - ready to roll.

Yes, we say you will be considered a hero by your customers. Why? The target group of this business model are all the numerous small businesses that populate all the Main Streets. Hence the name. These are local businesses, that are making a living from customers a block away or locally searching for their service. And they spend money on various kinds of advertising already. But while many of them have long ago realized, that it is nowadays important to keep track with communication technology, which means they also know very well that they have to advertise on the internet also, you may be surprised to hear, that not even 50% of them own a website!

Traditionally these businesses did not need that much online advertising. But since the internet has exploded, every smart business that understands the essence of being a fast mover, has already jumped on online advertising. And those who have not done this yet, are heavily struggling! You can imagine they need help!

Not only do over half of them not have an own website. They may be paying for some kind of online advertising, because somebody told them they should. But what is worse is, they don't have all too much clue of what they are doing! Most of them complain that would cost them an arm and a leg. But what should they do? They simply have not the slightest clue about online marketing techniques, let alone how to create organic - which means lasting - website traffic!

This is a huge market. No offence here, but they are pretty clueless. And in deep demand for help. And while so many online marketers are so heavily focusing to promote any kind of online business in the crowded online playground, the totally forgotten potential are the starving local businesses!

And because they are and will remain local, as an online marketer I believe you realize how easy it is to become their website traffic generator! Because they do not need to rank worldwide or country wide or anything like that! They just need to have top search engine rankings in their area or city! If you understand just a bit about online marketing, you realize how much easier it is to rank for a keyword phrase like "golf shoes New York" or "golf shoes Brooklyn" versus "golf shoes" as a broad term for the internet. You get the point. So the market is huge, competition still low, and the success rate you can promise your customers in terms of traffic is high, and easy to achieve!

OK, that's for the business idea. But do you know how to find those businesses without going from door to door (remember they don't have a website) or without cold calling thru the complete yellow pages? And do you know how to approach them? How to specify the steps to easily help them, and fast? And finally how to outsource all of this, so you only take care of the strategical part of your business, and get the rest be done for you? This, and way, way more is what the fantastic "Main Street Marketing" Engine will solve for you!

You can become the hero the local businesses were praying for! The one with the unique tool kit, professional approach, and most importantly - the one who will be offering them a very smart kind of service, while providing huge value, and confidentially delivering results!

I think it is time to check this out! The beauty is, that since everything is outlined like paint by numbers, no advanced skills are required. Go start your business now! Check out the "Main Street Marketing Machines" now, since the sales period will be strictly limited to only about 10 days, to keep the amount of service provider competition low!

6 Don'ts to Network Marketing Or Home Based Business Startups

Nowadays with people losing their jobs and careers by the scores, they are looking for business opportunities they may not have considered before. But it's a new world out there and it's not for the faint hearted. You can still be successful, if you avoid making certain mistakes. Your livelihood may truly depend on being successful now.

When I started my first business years ago I thought my service was the best and all I had to do was just talk about it to anyone I came across to be successful. Boy was I wrong!

I also thought my enthusiasm and excitement would carry me through any mistakes I made. Wrong again! Being new to network marketing or any home-based business start up can be very exciting. It can also be something you have to do because you have to put bread on the table. Whatever your reasons for starting a home based business, you can't afford to make emotional decisions.

Here are some of the things I learned from that first encounter as an entrepreneur.

Don't, I repeat, Don't ever invest more than you can afford to lose!

Don't reinvent the wheel!
Don't put yourself in a do or die situation!
Don't ignore your real prospects.
Don't forget what you are really selling!
Don't operate from the "needy" place!

1. I had so much faith in my abilities, and in my service, that I took out a loan, used my house as collateral; quit my full time job, and even had my best friend co-sign the loan, all this with a wife and three small children. I made mistakes I couldn't afford to make. When my business failed I lost my house, and my friend, and I was left scrambling to find a job, any job! Not to mention the strain that it put on my family! Later, I'll suggest ways you can run a successful business with a small budget.

2. My service was new and untested; I had no business investing that much money. Maybe you are no longer in a position to invest anything. Either way, you need to find a business with a proven system and a track record, or find a system of marketing that you can easily plug into your new and untested service or product. Don't reinvent something when you don't have to. Besides, you are not alone! There are many successful people in home based or network marketing businesses out there who have made all the mistake for you. Finding the right system or opportunity is the key.

3. Although, some people think that putting themselves in a do or die situation will make them succeed, it wasn't for me and it's not for most people. Build your business within your means. Don't quit your day job! No matter how much you hate it! In fact, use the hate for your day job as motivation to succeed in your new business. Most emotional decisions backfire anyway! For those of you who don't have a day job anymore you can still operate a small business, with unemployment benefits, or you may have to find something to put food on the table for now.

After my first business failed I had to get a job in a field I thought I would never have to go back into again. The reality, that's what I had to do! I took a page from my days as a tennis pro when the match wasn't going my way. My mindset, this was only a temporary situation! I told myself that I didn't have time to feel sorry for myself or have defeatist attitude because that would surely spell defeat for me. I also wanted to make sure to model for my kids that even though things don't always go your way, a way can be found. It helped my kids think resourcefully. My middle daughter, all of 9 years old, suggested we have a rummage sale. We got behind the idea and made enough money to put food on the table that day. I told them that we would all laugh about this someday, and we did.

4. I was so busy trying to sell my services to everyone because I felt I had to, I didn't focus on who my real prospects were. They ended up getting lost in the mix. Your real prospects will be the ones who want your product or service not the ones you have to convince. The folks you have to convince end up getting "buyers remorse" and either nix the sale or never work the business. The people that want your product or service are your repeat customers, your eventual clients and the foundation of a successful business. They deserve your focus and attention!

5. Think about it, if it was all about how good the product or service was, you would buy it from anyone. People buy a product or service from people they like; people they trust. Remember, you are not in the product or service business you are in the relationship business. If you don't develop the relationship someone else will.

6. It's a psychological phenomenon, but it's true, if you are operating from a place of need, they won't buy from you; they won't sign up. If you are literally in a place of need, you have to act like you are not. Write a script for yourself, act it out and practice it until you believe it, then your potential customers or prospects will believe it as well. Sometimes I had to fake having a positive, never say die attitude. When I was out there selling myself, no one would have guessed I was a paycheck away from being homeless! Get yourself up in the morning expecting good to happen! Then go out and work the business with that attitude.

It goes without saying that if I had put into practice back then what I do now, I would not only have saved time and big bucks, I would have never put my family in that situation to begin with when starting my own business. I literally risked losing it all! But even in the toughest of times for us I never gave up, I persevered. Whatever your situation, you can too! If this article helps one person avoid those pitfalls then I've been successful.

How to Balance Work and Life in a Home Based Business

My thoughts went back to last year's cross-country when Ashton was in prep school. Back then, it was really just a quick 100 metre dash and he hardly noticed we were there. I asked him if he would mind me missing it this year, and not surprisingly he answered no, without any hesitation, which is just the kind of easy-going undemanding kind of kid that he is.

But my heart was pulling at me to get myself to the school, and my head was screaming at me to stay home and get prepared for the call. In the end, as it usually always does, the quiet yet insistent stirrings of my heart won. I remembered that this is why I have my home-based business, so that I can be there for my children. And I went.

And boy am I glad I did! This year the event was very different, it was much, much longer, and maybe just a tad longer than I expected a 6yr old to run, but it was so exciting!! He ran his little heart out! And I felt like I was right there with him. It was exhilarating!

His dad was there too. He also runs his own business, and how wonderful that we both can choose to attend these events, and oh my god, the rewards!! They might not be financial, but something much, much more fulfilling. My heart, my mind, my body and my soul are singing to the tune of complete and utter happiness. My being is totally expansive and all I want to do now is express that. Hence, my creativity is pouring out these words as I write.

In my line of work this state that I find myself in is called congruency. Every part of me is singing a happy song because I am fully aligned with my number one value as a mother who acted in accordance with that value and put her family first. As a life coach this is THE reason I do what I do, to assist my clients to BE more of who they really are.

My clients come to me because an area or areas of their lives are not working for them. If they are spending much of their time doing things that don't bring them joy and feeling limited and small as a result then it's more than likely there is a values conflict at play, because after all values determine where and how we spend our time.

Imagine, for a moment, what the scenario might have been if I didn't go to my son's cross country event. This is how it would have played out... I would have been on my computer listening to the call, but not really present. I would have been fretting about what I was missing and worse, I would have been fully conscious of the fact that even though consciously my son said he didn't mind me not being there, his unconscious mind would have noticed and stored that information in the "mother wasn't there file". So then I would have felt guilty and more than likely I would be very critical of myself. It would have been a very different outcome.

MLM and M&Ms - The Fate of the First Network Marketer

There once was a boy named Johnny in a town called Slothville. A spoiled and undisciplined little kid was he. Johnny had a sweet tooth something fierce, and loved to stuff his mouth full of candy. He especially loved M&M's, and he especially, especially loved them when he didn't have to do chores or use his own pocket money to get his hands on them. He couldn't stand the sight of others eating them when his stash had run out. So Johnny spent hours and hours cooking up ways to get the largest possible amount of the candy, with the least possible amount of effort. One way or another he was intent on lining his pockets...even if it killed others (or if it killed him, rather, as he no doubt would've pointed out).

So it came to be in the Spring of '76 that scheming little Johnny started a lawn-mowing business. He rounded up 3 of his pals, and recruited them to go around the neighborhood cutting grass. He'd contract out the workers, and the customers would pay him. For every job they did, Johnny was paid 10 M&M's. 8 of these he kept (I mean, come on...the business was his idea after all), and his friends were able to keep 2 for themselves. He hastened to inform his pals though that should they manage to recruit one of their pals to cut grass as well, that he would give them 2 M&M's back for every willing little employee they hired. Bonus! Before long, Johnny's pals were recruiting their pals, and Johnny was bathing in M&M's. He had M&M's for breakfast, sneaked them inside his lunch-box to snack on at school. He was in M&M heaven...living it large off of the sweat of others.

It wasn't long before every yard in the neighborhood had at least 2 kids mowing, pulling and even eating grass. Salivating lawn-mowing recruiters could be found in every classroom, locker room and living room across the town. Johnny and his 3 pals would sit in his M&M tree-house and watch the neighborhood slowly turn into a semi-desert. There were fewer and fewer lawns to mow, more and more kids doing the mowing, earning less and less M&M's than the kids before. In the end, the bulk of the kids in the neighborhood could barely put together their own M&M doghouse between themselves, and they even started mowing pets out of desperation. I wish I could say that no animals were harmed in the telling of this story, but a few cats lost their whiskers, while the kids that were recruited into this venture towards the tail-end of the exercise resorted to recruiting anything with a pulse and mowing anything with a few hairs. The scene got ugly.

Little is known of what actually became of Johnny in subsequent years. There was the odd rumor or two. Best as anyone could tell, he made his way to Desperado and started his own business. He was reportedly last seen on the porch of the big house overlooking the valley, surrounded by barbed wire and electric fencing...a '76 lawn-mower rammed through the windshield of his Porsche.
