So is it for real can we really do well working from home, or are we just led along the garden path by sales men selling us a pipe dream? If you have looked into this at all then you will have no trouble understanding what I am talking about. You know those hyped up folk spinning their yarn and reeling you in! Yep, and when you get there then what?

The Hype

So there is this sales page, where they start by telling you how awful your life is, with the day job that pay's a pittance and you are worn out, depressed and not really living at all! Ok we know all that, don't need to feel any worse thank you! So next they show you how wonderful their life is, yachts, cars, homes.....oh please!

Do you want to see that, or do you just want to simply be shown how?

Then your In!

Ok we took the bait and they hooked us in, great we going to get there now! Really? How many times have you been here, so excited by the promise you heard, but then you are left on your own to get on with it!

Some of these programs are ok and you can make them work, but, that is if you know how! If you are completely new to this, then I am sorry you do not stand a chance unless you are technically knowledgeable!

A Lot Of These Sales Pages Are All The Same!

I for one am sick of seeing the same old thing, do they all use the same spiel sheet? Wow it drives me mad, they must think we are stupid! They tell us how they are sick of us being ripped off and they are different, oh? So why do they use the same pitch? So we are offered the world for a small fee, that was the hook, then the next page and the next and the..., and so it goes on each page higher priced than the first!

Can someone please be different? You buy whatever, but then there is all this marketing lingo that you just don't understand! If we are new to this we need simple coaching, and don't they understand that if we are taught the first steps we will come back for more?

How To Find The Real Stuff!

I am here to tell you that yes, indeed it is possible to earn a very decent living working from home, if you have a proven formula and someone to guide you! By all means look at all the sales stuff, because there is learning here, probably how not to do it! Before you buy, check them out! Google their name, who are they and what do people say about them. Go to the warrior forum, this is for marketers, ask in there about this program, will it help you if you are new?

What Did They Tell You?

In the spiel on the sales page, what did they tell you that you were going to be doing, what exactly is this formula? Have they got one? Did they just tell a story of how you were going to become rich? By doing what!

I remember a program I bought early on, and the guy said as soon as I got into the member's area how unethical it would be to get a refund, guilt trip? I am sorry it is unethical to sell me rubbish! If you don't like it or cannot see it will work for you and you can't get any help, then get a refund!

There is a lot of rubbish out there, stuff that simply will not work, don't be conned! Listen to what they say and what they don't say, if you doubt then leave it alone.

I promise you this is possible but if you get too much of this rubbish you will become down hearted and give up! Find someone who is successful, really doing what he say's he is, not just a sales man. Check him out!

To join the warrior forum would be good, hear what these marketers have to say, you will find top guy's here who know what is what, some are very helpful!

Don't give up, it can be done!

I learned what i know today mostly from one person! It is important to find someone that you trust and believe in! This is a business not a get rich quick scheme and businesses don't happen overnight, you have to learn it, find a teacher and a mentor to help you!My Success to you, to all you deserve and desire!

Selling Information Products? Learn Why You Can Earn More From A Decoy Duck Than A Product Funnel

I'm an economist. OK, not a profession that is always that useful in business but it does come in useful when understanding pricing and customer behaviour (well, sometimes!).

Lots of us are on the internet selling information products. We may offer other services (I'm a business coach as well) but the joy of information products is that they can earn us money while we sleep - or while we enjoy a pina colada on the beach - or at least that's the theory!

And when we first start selling information products the main business model we learn about is most often the product funnel. You know, when go from low priced product to higher priced product generating a 'funnel' of customers as you go - more of them will buy your lower priced products and then you feed progressively smaller numbers of customers into progressively higher-priced products and programmes?

And it's a great model. Tried and tested. It definitely works.

But I like to mix things up a bit and there's a theory that relies on some fancy-pants behavioural economics mixed up with a bit of psychology that, when shaken, gives you a decoy. OK doesn't have a lot to do with those old-fashioned wooden decoy ducks, but it's a technique that shows you how to earn more by leading your customers to buy more of your higher priced products.

What On Earth Is Decoy Pricing?

Here's what it is, and a bit of the how-to along with an example for you to go away with today.

OK, let's talk about two of your products or services. One is more expensive than the other. Now, if you were to offer your customers a straight choice between the two, then what you'll find is that more people will go for the lower priced product (which is great, you're in business, you're making money).

But, if you bring in a 'decoy' - a third information product, let's say, that you have no intention of ever selling, then you can lead your customers along the path of wanting more of the more expensive product.

Sound good?

And better yet, you can get as many as three times as many people to buy the more expensive product than when you just offered a choice of two products.

I hope this has got you thinking about how this can make you more money for the same effort selling your information products?

How Does It Work In Practice?

The process is really simple and here's how it works. Let's look at an example:

You have two products, a CD course and an mp3 downloadable version of the same course. Let's say you offer:

1. Downloadable e-course $50
2. CD e-course $100

What do you think your customers will buy? Well if you ran this on your site I bet you'd find that many more of them would go for the downloadable course, option 1. But how about when you run with this?

1. Downloadable e-course $50
2. CD e-course $100
3. Downloadable e-course PLUS CD course $100

Did You Spot The Decoy?

Yep it's number 2. Your customers don't really want the CDs, but when they see what great value option 3 is for them - a saving of $50 - then you'll find that this outsells the downloadable course on its own.

OK you might have to play around with the pricing to get this to work well in your market, but I hope you can see how the principle of it works and how you can use it in your information business to make more money selling your products and services.

Are All Home Based Businesses Just Pie in the Sky?

Now the problem is whilst the internet is a wonderful tool its also full of many types of information and most of it is complete and utter tripe. Once you start your journey you will be drawn in to the exiting world of making that extra �500 a month you needed to see you through or improve your lifestyle, and by golly are you gonna find some solutions. You see you will find literally thousands of solutions to this simple dilemma. You will see plenty of pictures of people sat next to pools or in high powered sports cars telling you how they have found the 'secret' method. Just have a look and see how many 'secret' methods there are!

OK now whilst a hefty slice of cynicism is in my opinion not only helpful but downright essential don't let it completely cloud your view, as there are SOME opportunities out there that are well worth a look and do actually work.

Now I love a bit of a flutter, but be very careful if this is your chosen route, whether its online you've found it or its dropped on your mat with a glossy brochure. I have tried lots of these services and not one has been very satisfactory. Usually very affordable a one off fee of maybe �97 or �29 per month something of that order. Always with past history that proves themselves to be worthwhile. You have to bear in mind you will never be likely to place every single tip they give, but more importantly ALL gamblers have losing as well as winning streaks. If something says 80 or 90% success be very very wary. Most of the best tipsters there are fall well below those percentages. My best advise for gambling sites is check out gambling forums first and see what they have to say.

Newbies Guide 1 - Cheapest Way to Make Money Online

Step 1

OK the first step is to go to a site called ClickBank and the site is called ClickBank.com when you get to this site i want you to sign up it's free yes free. Now let me explain what ClickBank is, ClickBank is a cool site that manage different products more like tens of thousands of products that you can promote for a commission. The commissions range between 50% to 75% yeah pretty big commissions right, your job is to send traffic to the product page (traffic is people). That is also the way you make money you will become an affiliate I like the term internet marketer sound more cool to me.

Step 2

After you get step 1 finish you want to pick a product on ClickBank to promote. Ok now you want to open Microsoft Word or anything that you write something on. After you open up Microsoft Word I want u to write two sentences on that product and make fun and catchy. Next after you pick your two fun and catchy sentences i want to make the font really big so people can see it from a distance. Now the most important part do not forget to do this at the end of your two sentences put your URL link that ClickBank gives you. For a quick note that link is extremely long so you will want to shorten it and the site to do that is bit.ly there is no.com so it will be (bit.ly) and there is three things that are cool about this site. The first one will be that it is free i love that word, the second one is that you can shorten the name of a URL, and third reason is my favorite you ca actually track the traffic that is coming to that link or URL.

Step 3

The last step is to print 100 sheets of the two fun and catchy sentences you came up with then fold them in half. Now after you finish getting your paper cuts I mean folding your sheets take them with you as your walk around your neighborhood I prefer big parking lots because you will be finish in no time you want to place them on the windshield of the cars. OK after you done with that check your ClickBank account later that night and see your results. This is how is how I started and I promise you it works.
