You can notify friends regarding on sale items that are vintage. Ask them to contact you if they are interested about the products. This will make sure that your products will be going to good hands and they will take care of your items.
Collector's items- these products can be sold for a great value and so you need to present them in the best possible way. Most collectors would want to see the item up close and personal before buying. You can just post on sites like Craigslist on the location that you reside on so that you can inform other people regarding the items that are on sale. Home Business Tips - Are You Stuck Behind The Eight Ball?

Okay home business owners...here's a question for you. Are you stuck behind the eight ball? I'll let you think about that question for a minute and then I'm going to tell you a little story. You might not get the significance at first but after a little thought, I am sure that it will hit you over the head like a sledge hammer. Keep reading if you're curious as to where I'm going with this one.

For starters, those of you who aren't exactly sure what the saying "stuck behind the eight ball" means, it basically means that no matter what move you make in regard to your business, you're not likely to come away with a positive result. You're simply stuck in a lousy position. Usually, what you try to do when that happens is pick the lesser of two evils. Okay, now the story.

So I'm running this special sale and emailing my list and somebody brings up a point that because the sale is for multiple items over the course of multiple days, people who weren't on my list on day one wouldn't have the opportunity to buy that item at the reduced price. I never thought of that, but they were right. This left me with a no win situation.

If I allowed people who weren't on my list on day one to purchase day one's product, it wouldn't be fair to those who WERE on my list that day who bought the product on the day of the sale, thinking that the next day they wouldn't have that opportunity. On the other hand, if I didn't allow those new list members to purchase, it's a really bad way to start off somebody on your list...ticking them off right from the start. This is likely to leave a bad taste in their mouth resulting in them either never purchasing from me or leaving my list altogether. Yes, I was certainly in a pickle.

So what did I do? I made a compromise. I ran a sale for one extra day for ALL the items but at a slightly higher price than on day the item first went on sale. This made the people who DID buy on the original day still feel that they got the best deal and at the same time, allowed the newer list members a chance at some discount. No, they wouldn't be totally happy as they didn't get the lowest price, but they did at least get a bargain.

Sometimes, you can't make a good choice no matter what you choose. When that happens, you have to think about what would cause the least amount of harm. If it's a choice between doing harm to you (losing money) and your prospects (losing out on a deal) then you MUST choose your prospects. In the long run, no matter how much money you lose in the short term, if you tick off your prospects, you're going to lose even more money down the road.

So think about your prospects first and yourself second. If you do that, getting stuck behind that proverbial eight ball won't be so bad.

Home Business Tips - Don't Get Sucked Into Sales Pitches

As a home business owner and marketer, this is probably the LAST article that I should be writing. But since I've never been afraid to speak the truth, even if it hurts my own bottom line, I'm not going to start now. So what's this article about? It's about getting sucked into sales pitches...especially around the holidays. Don't do it. This article explains why, how to avoid them and how to make the most out of them. I think you are going to want to read this.

Okay, why do you want to avoid sales pitches around this time? Well, let's take a recent example. Hostgator just ran a sale for 80% off. Problem is, the sale was for a limited number of people. Naturally, it had to be or they'd lose a ton of money. If you got there too late, the offer was gone. However, you still had a chance to make your purchase at 50% off. Point is, the 80% off ad was to get people into the door knowing full well that most would NOT make it in time but STILL make it in time to get 50% off and ultimately make a purchase. Point is, when you see a sales pitch like this, one with a limited time offer, unless you are literally sleeping at your PC, it is unlikely that you're going to be one of the lucky few. That's why you want to avoid these like the plague. They're a trap...plain and simple.

So how do you avoid them? Well, for starters, don't go looking for them. Too many people buy things JUST because they are on sale. Tell me the truth. How much junk do you have in your home that you ONLY bought because it was on sale and you never even used it? If you're honest with me and yourself, you know that there is quite a lot of stuff laying around that you have no use for. But it was on sale. The key is to ONLY look for items that you REALLY need. That way, even if you don't make it in time for the sale, you're still getting something that you can put to use.

Finally, how do you make the most of these sales? The answer to that is simple. Run them yourself. Yes, this is marketer part of me talking. If you have a product or service that you KNOW is going to sell, run a special for it. Your sales will go through the roof. Hey, I'm being honest here. That's the way the world is. You don't want to get sucked into the game but don't stop playing it at the other end because you can make a lot of money doing it. Honest enough?

Me? I never look for sales. I only buy things that I need. But I do run sales whenever I can.

It's called smart business.
