A short term goal is the single best marketing strategy that one can have. There are different kinds of short term strategy but pay-per-click is the best marketing campaign for sure. This is a campaign that involves you placing advertisements on the pages that show results on search engines websites. The will allow you to establish and account with a PPC what it is better know as, so that you may develop a list of words or better known in search engine terms a keyword. There are many different kinds of PPC's but two of the best are without a doubt Google AdWords and a site that you may or may not be familiar with called overture.

Google AdWords is a website that allows you to place ad on Google. In the Marketing world we all know what a enormous machine Google has become, and for any business to be featured on Google is a huge accomplishment and even more so a great marketing move for sure. When you create ads that you going to submit to AdWords, you are allowed to chose the place where you can put your ads and content on the search engine site. Once you have created and submitted you ads you will want to search them until you are sure that the advertisement that you have submitted and your site coverts traffic into revenues. On the other hand you have a site such as Overture that was purchased by Yahoo and for a lot of money at that. Yahoo among others wanted to take a change to build on their company. You have a chance on the site to build your ad, and search for keywords from a list provided by your PPC and then once there you will be able to create single individual ads, they make take a long time however they are worth the wait for sure.

For you to run your campaign that you created which will be profitable. Which means that you will be making money from your ads for sure and building upon your business, what more can you ask for. A great strategy is one that you can model your product after, so that the money isn't wasted on people looking at different model on what they want to do.

As far as the long term is considered it will take a long time, hence the phrase long term. If your marketing is focusing on competitive word referred to as key words then make that the best thing and effort that you could do. Pick your keyword based upon competition as it is everything and there is only much that you can do. It will take time to build your links up sometimes a few years but in the end it is all very well deserved.

With your long and short term strategy's you must be able to be discipline and stick with your efforts when you are seeing no change, as results will not come fast at all. You will get frustrated and that's for sure but you have to stay positive and know what you are doing. Remember that everything little thing that you do for your company will benefit you and pay off in the end. Patience is key, it balances the frustrations that you have and that you are going to have during your efforts to make your short term and long terms goals come true.
