To Become a Driving Instructor

To become a driving instructor, you will need to complete a qualifying process designed to make sure that you have good knowledge of driving, the laws of the road and teaching skills.

The process to become a driving instructor is split into three parts as follows:

Part 1. Theory
Part 2. Advanced driving
Part 3. Instructional ability

So let's look at them one at a time

To Become a Driving Instructor, Part 1 The part one is the first of three tests you will need to take to become an approved Driving Instructor (ADI) The part 1 test is split into two parts; a multiple choice question paper and a hazard perception test.

Multiple Choice Question Paper The question paper (carried out on a pc) consists of 100 questions, which are split into four bands. Each band contains 25 questions, of which you must answer at least 20 correctly (80%) These bands are:

1. Road Procedure.
2. Traffic signs and signals, car control, pedestrians, mechanical knowledge.
3. Driving Test, disabilities, law.
4. Publications, instructional techniques.

Although you must achieve a score of at least 80% on each of the bands, your overall score must be at least 85%.

Hazard Perception Test The hazard perception part of the test, also carried out on a pc, tests your reaction time to hazards. You will see 14 video clips of various road conditions, which contain at least one developing hazard each. You will be required to click a mouse button each time you see a hazard and your reaction time will be converted into a score, the highest being 5 and the lowest being 0, obviously the highest score for the fastest reaction. *For a more detailed look at this, see the link below.

A good trainer will provide you with all of the material you will need to study for this test and should also provide you with some kind of study guide to help you get through the books in the easiest way possible. Make sure that the price of these books and materials are included in the price of your training, as often they could be added on as an extra once you have signed up to and paid for the course.

To Become a Driving Instructor, Part 2 The part two test is basically an advanced driving test. Firstly, you will have to pass a simple eyesight test. You will be required to read a standard size number plate from 27.5 metres (90 feet). This should be carried out wearing prescription glasses if needed. You will then be asked five questions regarding basic vehicle maintenance.

Your trainer will be able to give you advice on this subject. You will then be taken on a test route, which will take in all road conditions including town driving, rural roads, dual carriageways and, where possible, motorway driving. You will also be asked to carry out the following set exercises:

Controlled Stop (also referred to as 'emergency stop')
Turn in the Road (also referred to as 'three point turn')
Left Hand Reverse
Right Hand Reverse (both also referred to as 'reverse around a corner')
A Parking Manoeuvre. This can either be parallel parking or reverse bay parking.

This test will last for one hour and during the test you you will be allowed to commit up to six driving faults, no serious faults and no dangerous faults. *For a more detailed look at this, see the link below.

To Become a Driving Instructor, Part 3 This is the part where you are tested on your ability to teach. The part three test is divided into two halves, known as 'Phase One and Phase Two' For both phases, an examiner will play the role of a student. The student played will be at different levels of learning for each phase.

Phase One. For this phase, the examiner will play a student of very limited knowledge and experience and you will be asked to teach him a new subject that he hasn't covered previously.

Phase Two. For this phase the examiner will play a more experienced student, who is having problems with a subject previously taught. Your job will be to find out what is causing the problems and show him how to put things right. *For a more detailed look at this, see the link below.

Ok, so that's a quick insight into training to become a driving instructor, so what's the catch? Well, there are companies out there who just want to get their hands on your cash and aren't too worried about the level of training you receive.

As a rule of thumb, DON'T part with thousands of pounds just because the sales pitch looks great, take time to find out exactly what you are getting for your money and just what the refund policy of the company is, in case you are not satisfied with your training.

Below are a couple of examples of how to and how not to conduct training to become a driving instructor.

My name is Colin Lott and I've been a Driving Instructor for over fifteen years and a Driving Instructor Trainer for over the last six years.

Multi-Level Marketing - The 4 Phases of Expansion Your MLM Business MUST Go Through

I'm sure you've wondered how you can completely transform your Network Marketing business, generating tons of leads, recruiting loads of new partners, and seeing success in your life using an easy marketing system - all while living your life the way you want?

The following 4 Phases to MLM success that I am going to explain to you are critical for you to understand if you are ever going to achieve any real amount of success in Network Marketing. This is particularly valuable information to share and to keep in mind when coaching your new associates. Also, for those of you who have been in the industry for a while and feel as though you're 'stuck', this may lend some clues as to why.

Phase One - In expanding your MLM business, prospecting is the first stage. This is what is taught by most MLM companies, e.g., making a list and contacting everyone on it. Here, we have an interesting spin on that advice: this phase only lasts from 72 hours to about 2 weeks. The important point about this is that there is limited time and therefore you won't continue bothering those closest to you (at least until they are ready). Another term for this phase is the Novice Phase. Phase ONE is The 'Old School Networking' Tactics = Warm Market, Business Networking and Referral Strategies. This is the stage where most failure occurs.

Phase Two - The second stage is Direct Marketing. This phase will take some time as you develop your marketing system to reach out to the 6.5 billion people in the world that you don't know. Your campaign may include many different types of marketing, like article marketing, classifieds, mailers, and the like.

In this stage your leads are generated through both local and online advertising. Don't forget - in this industry these campaigns are what give you LEVERAGE. BUT the most successful marketers take it to the next level.

Phase Three - The third stage is known as Attraction Marketing. The start of this stage is when you have too many leads to possibly contact. New strategies are needed, e.g., creating a "product" to sell to your contacts.

Phase THREE marketing is achieved when YOU become the hunted instead of the hunter. Phase THREE marketing happens when you start having people call you, ready to join, with no persuasion, effort, or time expended on your part.

This is the phase of the master!

Phase 4 - Mentoring is the fourth phase. This is when you personally choose and mentor at least three people to bring them to success in thier businesses. Success is defined as creating income in someone's life beyond what they've ever made before. Phase 4 is where you can live on the beach and drink out of a Pina Colada (Or whatever you prefer to drink!) and yet your residual income check continues to come in, week after week, year after year and actually increases over time!

When there is no need for you to ever recruit anyone personally for your business again, you have entered phase four. Phase 4 only happens in the presence of a well designed attraction marketing system, and enough success and leadership in your team.

Phase FOUR is the DREAM of Network Marketers, and almost NO ONE knows how to do it.

The goal you should have is to get from Phase 1 to Phase 4 as fast as possible! Did you see yourself in any of these phases? Unfortunately, most never learn these network marketing secrets and either quit or never make it past Phase 1. Many times they aren't even trained how to get past Phase 2, if they're even trained on Phase 2 at all.

Where Can You Find Children's Sportswear Online?

Every day, local clothing shops are filled with customers that are looking for all kinds of things to wear for children. Sportswear is one of the common categories as children are getting more involved with sports activities to have fun and stay physically fit. Most clothing stores categorise their clothes in sections and the sportswear section is the place to go to for easy access.

The sizes of these sections vary, but they are usually not that large unless you find a good store that is more specific with sports. Once you are out of options, you might wonder if online sources are good places to find children's sportswear. The answer is yes and you can start your search by checking out these four sites listed below.

Cargolines

Cargo lines is the best site to visit first because there is a "Children & Schoolwear" department that offers lots of different clothing line-ups including sportswear. Currently, there are over 90 sportswear products available, ranging from socks to shirts as well as entire team kits. You can filter the items by brand so you can check out items coming from popular brands including Kappa, Phase One, Banner, Uhlsport, and more. Every item has a thumbnail and price up front and clicking on it will show you a description along with the available colours and sizes.

Next

Next looks like a fashion site at first glance, but there are two general categories - "Boys" and "Girls" where you can find swimwear, sportswear, and other clothes suitable for sports activities for children. While there is no real sportswear category, you can explore other sections like "Shorts" and see if there are items that are okay for sports. It is also a reliable source for children's shoes and the prices are fairly low.

Amazon UK

Amazon doesn't offer a large variety like Cargolines, but it is still a very popular site for finding good deals of all kinds of items including children's sportswear. Many of the sportswear items have free delivery for UK residents so try to search in Amazon for an item even if it is being sold in other areas because you might be able to get it at a lower cost. Another nice feature is the ability to check out reviews made by other customers so you can see if the sportswear is really good for your child. Like Cargolines, it is possible to apply brand filters to suit your preferences.

Brand Sites

If you are fond of using brand filters, try going directly to the brand's website and see what children's sportswear they have to offer. The best thing about these sites is that they are always updated with the latest items. Some brands may offer links to the most trusted stores that sell these items. If you don't favour any brand, you will enjoy a better variety by visiting each of the brand's websites at the same time.

It is unlikely that for you to come up empty after searching the sites mentioned above, but the answer will always be a yes for finding sportswear online and the ability to use search engines to find them is proof.
