If you put in more hours, you get paid more, right? But at what cost? Now you are eating into the time you want to spend on your family, having fun and learning more stuff.

There is a LIMIT to your time - it is THIS that LIMITS how much you can earn. Let's say you think that �20 per hour is a good deal... that gives you �40,000 per annum... easy to slip into a comfort zone, because you are mixing with others who earn the same and you are better off than many who work for �6 to �10 per hour....

Let's change the model... what if you can do the work once then get paid for it forever. How does this work?
