The Online Product Fairground

Bright Lights The Fatal Attraction!

Looking for an online money making opportunity reminds me a lot of my childhood spent at the fairground, everywhere you look you are seduced by the sounds and bright lights of each and every attraction on offer. Your head is spinning with all that is going on around you and before you know it you have been on every ride or every sideshow and you are left completely dizzy from the experience.

It is very much like that online when you are looking for that elusive money making scheme that actually works, every corner turned you are bombarded by really slick sales letters and great videos which do a great job of reeling you in. Some of the sales copy around at the moment is of really high quality and does a very effective job indeed.

But How Do You Know Who Is Genuine and Who Is Not?

The answer to that lies in doing your homework very thoroughly and checking out testimonials and actually talking to other people who have bought that particular product. This sometimes alone can be very tricky as a lot of the time the testimonials in question will be from friends or acquaintances who have a vested interest in the product themselves. (i.e affiliates)

One of the best places to look for genuine product feedback are the online forums, as such they are so diverse in population, from all corners of the planet that they all possibly can't be friends or affiliates of the product in question therefore leading to an unbiased and true reflection of the products worth.

But There Is So Much Out There?

Yes there is and at the moment we seem to be going through a faze of:

"you'll be rich in ten minutes time."
"$100, 000 in one hour you can too by this time tomorrow."
"Push this button and in ten minutes you are rich for life."

this type of thing. It is all just hype and bluster to get us to part with our hard earned cash, but the problem is we all fall for it at some point or another, we all want instant riches, it seems we just can't resist the lure of instant cash and lets be honest(who can) these sales letters and videos do a very convincing job.

The answer without a doubt when your next tempted to buy a product on the online fairground is to just click that little cross on the top right hand side of your computer screen and keep your cash in your purse or wallet!

Many Thanks for reading:

Home Business - A New One

So, - where to start.... How about on your computer!

Maybe get an idea and Google it! Is what you are finding out encouraging or a bit scary. Are you surfing around looking for ideas? Are you concerned about the slick, professionally prepared sales pages? You should be. How can you compete with the "pros"? Who can you trust? Who is telling the real truth about the business a promoter is urging you to join?

ClickBank is a solid consideration to find a product to promote as an affiliate. Many Home Business people have bypassed CB because they think it has outlived its good operating blueprint.
They may also think it is simply "old fashioned" and thus dead.

Not so, - it has quietly been keeping up with the markets and showing "what is selling best" (currently) and all is described in its Marketplace section. By showing what people are buying, we can avoid promoting something where the ROI can be less than desirable.

They say Walt Disney went bankrupt 7 times before he became successful, like many, many other successful people. So the fear of failing can not and must not hold a person back from starting their own home business. All of them had to have the basic idea that "nothing ventured nothing can be gained".

When a promoter says, "only 6 more copies available, - better buy now" (when it is a down loadable product) would you buy it? This type of promotions is very common. They are looking for suckers AND THEIR MONEY!

So what might be some wise things to keep in mind when outlining Your Business platform requirements? Here are 3 to get you thinking in the right direction.

Firstly: Think! Think hard! Starting guide lines should to help:

1. Never decide on a business quickly. Sleep on it. If it is good business today, - it will be good tomorrow. Don't be afraid of being called a 'tire kicker".

2. Brand new Companies/Programs are unproven regardless of What the promoter claims. Testimonials are often fake.

3. Screen shots of earnings may be fake. ** Be sure to read the Disclaimer at the bottom - this is a MUST. It is can be shocking!!

Of course, based on your abilities and experience, this list could become rather long.

Summary: When a person has definitely decided that he (or she) is going to change or start a Home Business, the attitude must be goal orientated and focused on a plan based on the best information we can find and verified as much as possible. Remember: Nothing ventured - nothing can be gained!

Choosing the Right Home Based Business - 4 Tips for Cutting Through the Hype and Finding Success

The biggest challenge in choosing a home based business is cutting through the hype of the various promoters to look at how the business opportunity stacks up against the four fundamentals required for long term success. Those four fundamentals are:

The right financial model
A proven support system
Unique, consumable products
A Motivating Opportunity

When we talk about the financial model we mean simply, how do you make money. Commission based sales opportunities like Affiliate Marketing can pay more up front (if you really know what your doing) but offer no potential for residual income. Most multilevel systems offer long term residual and little immediate earning ability. Very few business models offer both.

Do a cost/benefit analysis. What will it cost to get started and how much can you reasonably expect to earn. Unlike traditional business you are not investing in equipment and assets that need to be amortised over time so you should expect to be able to get a real return on your investment and of your investment within days or weeks.

If you are looking for long term income you should look for a company that has enough history to show that it can sustain long term residual payments. Remember few companies in the home based industry survive beyond 5 years so the latest startup is unlikely to fulfill the long term potential it promises, no matter how slick the presentation.

Support Systems

Every company will claim to have a great support system. The fact that so few people succeed in home based businesses gives testimony that most support systems simply don't work for the majority. Whatever the system offers, it must be duplicatible for anyone. If part of the system requires you to give great presentations, most people will fail. If it requires you to build great websites it will fail. Not because you can't do those things, but because most of the people who join you can't.

A support system must be very simple. It must be duplicatible at every step and it must be both online and offline. Most of all, the people you want to join your business must be excited by its simplicity and potential.

Products

Many promoters will tell you that the product doesn't matter. That is only because they don't have a good product. If a promoter has nothing but soap powder or overpriced fruit juice then they will tell you that product doesn't matter. The reality is product is critical because most people who join your business will join because of the product and will stay in the business because of the product.

Your product must be consumable. It must also be demonstrably unique. If you can get the same or similar product from the local discount store you won't have a business for long. You should look for a company that develops its own products and has strong proven patents to protect you by stopping anyone else copying those products. The product should also provide quantifiable benefits to consumers with scientific research to back up those claims, preferable research on your specific product, not a generic industry study.

Motivation

Why motivation? Because you need motivation to succeed and if your business doesn't motivate you, then you will be doomed to constantly trying to find something that does. Money will only motivate you until you have enough. To stay motivated your business needs a higher purpose. Providing a service or product that helps customers is crucial to any business. But, if you can find a business that goes beyond that and fulfills a greater social need you will be entering the realm of Social Entreprenureship. When you do this your motivation will stay high and success is almost guaranteed.

iTunes Reviews: Use Them to Get More iTunes Listeners

I've been hearing that ratings and reviews are really important on iTunes if you have a podcast. But, why and how in the heck did you get them?

First of all, WHY are reviews important? Your traffic and exposure to your podcast from iTunes appears to be directly related to the number of comments/reviews you have - although that is arguable, depending on who you ask. But, it does tend to make your podcast appear more credible, whether the comments are positive or negative - just because it shows that people are listening.

Let me give you a quick back story on why this is the topic of my article.

I had my podcast on iTunes.
Like a doofus, I removed it. (Don't ask.)
I've struggled to get it re-added, and now am starting from scratch to get subscribers, reviews and ratings.

I have a plan to get more reviews and ratings on iTunes, but I'm still obviously experimenting. Here it is...

1. Write an Article about iTunes Reviews.

I'm writing an article where I beg for ratings. (checking that off my list now... This is it.) Subtle, aren't I?

2. Asking Past Guests who've Been on My Show.

I am contacting my friends who have been interviewed on the show and am asking them to take a moment to review the show, to help us both get more traffic. I'll also resend the transcripts of the show to them, so they can help spread the word.

3. Adding iTunes Button to My Blog.

I added a button to the upper right corner of my blog where it showcases the iTunes link. (It used to be hidden more.) I know... that's really fancy marketing, right? There's nothing too slick about that. Just an oversight that I corrected.

4. My Email Lists.

I'm going to mention the link to my lists frequently (as a sidenote) and add mention of it to my autoresponder sequence, too.

5.Create a Viral Report about iTunes Traffic.

I'll be turning this article into a free pdf report that will get my iTunes account more exposure - and, hopefully, more reviews. I've asked some friends to contribute to add more value to the report - and get more people passing it around.

6. During the Podcast.

I'll mention during the shows that I record from now on that I'm on iTunes and that I appreciate reviews. I'll also call out some of the names of people who have posted reviews and thank them publicly.

7. Host a Contest.

I might also host a contest and give the prize to one of the people who comments on my iTunes account. I just have to come up with a really juicy prize first.

I've got a few other ideas up my sleeve, but that's the game plan for now. We'll see what happens.

Find out if these ideas worked (or not) by checking out my podcast on iTunes. You'll find the link on my blog at [http://www.NicoleontheNet.com]NicoleontheNet.com. If you'd like to see what other experts suggested, check out this post: [http://www.nicoleonthenet.com/5892/podcasting-and-reviews-on-itunes/]How to Get More Reviews on iTunes.

Two Secrets For Scoping Legitimate Home Based Business Opportunities

It is not a rare occurrence that folks new in the industry get scammed out by the hoard of B.S. Websites on the web that promise legitimate home based business opportunities.

Marketers now days have some pretty slick skills, motivating sales pitches, etc. and it is difficult to tell the difference between a legitimate opportunity and someone just trying to get in your pockets. Below are a few tips to steer clear of scammers and get closer to those opportunities that can actually help you earn money.

Trust The Voice Inside You

If something doesn't sit right in your stomach, doubt the business opportunity. You can tell scammers from the legitimate ones by merely reading their websites' landing pages. Most often, if your reading stuff that sounds oh too good to be real, it's probably just that, garbage.

Check out the questions that you should ask below before you buy the concept of the business opportunity you are considering:

Does the company, its products, services and the home based business opportunities it present sound legit?

Are the Services and products they are bringing to the table sound like they are in demand and stable?

Is there a buyers market for the products or services?

Are you comfortable selling these products?

Would you buy the product or service if offered to you?

Watch or read the testimonials. What do they say?

Do they sound like they came from real customers?

What are the company's credentials?

Do you have a backup plan in case the product or service bombs?

Is there a no questions asked money-back guarantee?

People are easily blinded by ridiculous promises thinking that money comes easy to those who pay fast. No, that sadly is not the reality. If you feel that you are deeply interested in a particular product, service or company and you feel like it is the best there is, take a moment to ask someone for his or her opinion.

Getting someone else's view can help with the decision making process, just make sure your asking someone with credibility in the field. This also helps with the initial excitement that permits you from looking at the weak points of the business opportunity.

Don't Be Taken In By The Scammers' Dirty Tactics

Scam artiest have tons of tricks just waiting for you to bite on. One of the most effective you will encounter as you search for some viable home based business opportunities is the 'limited offer only' or 'one time offer only'.

If you see this on the website of the business opportunity you are considering, don't stop yourself from doubting the credibility of the site.

Not that it is a dirty tactic altogether. There are actually legit business opportunities out there that use this because they need to. But, scammers use this to bait unsuspecting victims.

It is a tactic they use to force you to buy from them now, without you asking any questions. Remember that when it comes to business or investments that need your money, you should not rush and you should not allow yourself to be rushed.

Another tactic that you should watch out for are website timers. Again, this is a very strong sales tactic that aims to get you excited and pressured at the same time.

The Best Home Based Business Opportunity For Moms - How To Make 50 Dollars a Day (Starting Now)

What is the best home based business opportunity for moms? Is it building a blog... or starting a network marketing career? Are surveys and envelope stuffing offers legitimate...and if not, WHY not? In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at what I believe is the very BEST way for busy moms to pocket an easy (and extra) 50 dollars a day... WITHOUT any investment or overhead required. Curious to know more? Continue reading... as we take a closer look below!

The BEST way for Mom's (or Dad's for that matter) to make an easy 300 or 400 extra dollar a week?

Content marketing. Or said differently... writing articles like this one, for the purpose of promoting a popular product or service, and submitting those articles to the high page rank, well trusted content directories.

Why does this work... and how is it different than building a blog, or any other silly success strategy you'll see the "guru's" promote?

It works because the human edited content directories, much like the one you are probably reading this on right now, have earned TONS of trust by the search engines. Some of these directories get upwards of a million visitors a DAY... all searching for information on a cacophony of creative informational topics, and YOUR job is simply to write the articles that they need to make BUYING decisions on products you want to promote.

Sounds easy, right? It is... and to make $50 a day is actually NOT difficult at all, and if you have a little bit of ambition, some daily discipline and like to write like me, making MANY multiples of that amount is not much harder, either.

Remember...

This is a totally TIMELESS strategy that thousands of people have used to build a big buck business ALL online... from the comfort of their own home, and without ANY of the high hype, or investment that most of the slick salesmen online ask you to make in THEM, to teach you what I just explained above for free!

Which Are The Best Income Opportunities For You To Make Extra Cash Online?

Which are the best income opportunities for you to make extra cash online, even if you have never done it before, and don't know where to start? Help is at hand.

Many people are in exactly the same position, they want to make some cash and just need a little help. To be pointed in the right direction. They have seen the Internet adverts with the mansions, the super slick sports cars and yachts with beautiful people draped over them. These leave them cold because they just want to make a bit more cash.

When the search the web they find that there are many willing to take their money. They also find it is difficult to distinguish between the scam sites and the legitimate business opportunities. Add to that confusion as to what idea, product or service they should run with no wonder they need help.

You often see promoted the 3 'best' opportunities available that require no money and no effort to make you a multi millionaire. And yes people do fall for it. I'm not writing about that because I don't believe that out of the many income opportunities available today that there is the 'best' three. All the legitimate ones have something to offer. The best ones are the ones that fit your personality and core beliefs. Ones that you would be happy to promote and can honestly recommend.

Some people think because of all the false marketing that with online business you can just push a couple of keys for five minutes a day and you will be a millionaire overnight - you won't. But you can earn exceptionally good money if you are willing to follow proven systems and adapt them to you. Remember the only place you start at the top is when you're digging a hole!

You don't get anything in life for nothing! This is a golden rule to remember, no matter what you do it is important that you need to work at it, how much you work you put in depends on you. Generally, like anything in life how much you get out depends on what you put in, not only in a financial sense but also on a personal level.

The best income opportunities are the ones that generate good ongoing cash flow that has longevity, so you can get paid longterm. On the other hand there are opportunities that are fads that if you get in at the beginning you can make money quickly before it falls away completely. That on top of a good ongoing cash source isn't a bad thing to have, is it.

Many people who want to earn some extra cash really don't know where to start and that is why it is always a good thing to link up with those who have done it and are willing to show you what to do. It is no good trying to sell something online where the market is already swamped with what you're offering. It would be better to look for an undiscovered niche and exploit that in a good way. Before you even attempt to make money online you need to do some research as to what is the best area for you to work and make some cash.

The best income opportunities are the ones that you are happy with and know that with some work you will be able to make a good living.

Malcolm Ivinson discusses [http://www.incomeunlimited.biz]online income opportunities on his website.

How To Earn Money Online - A Practical Intro

The Internet is everywhere. You almost cannot go into a home without internet available. A lot of people are eager to know how to earn money online. More and more business is now doing major business online, including B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2C (Business to Consumers).

The newest one, though, is the B2E (Business to Employee/Contractor). While a form of B2B, it is business between a company and a worker, whether hired or contracted. This is what has allowed the growth in virtual office employees, employees that do not live in the same city as their boss. Internet email and cell phones allow for the productive use of the employees' time while getting real work done for the employer. Employees benefit from the flex hours and the ability to work from home. The internet is causing a revolution of dispersed workers.

So, what does that have to do with you, the person seeking to make money on the internet?

Businesses are changing their mind. They do not want the overhead of maintaining offices if possible, and they now realize that not every employee needs to be under visual management in a local office. That means that lots of jobs and outsourced opportunities are available to those with a computer and an internet connection. With the advent of IM (instant messaging), use of a cell phone is often not even required to do the work. The amount of work being hired out or contracted over the internet is exploding.

Types of Jobs and Business Opportunities

Administrative - These jobs are mostly administrative, legal and medical transcriptionists, and marketing support. You will be doing the work that used to be done by an in-office person. The business will often have you log into their computer servers to obtain the files to work on, and then you upload the finished files back to their servers.
MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) - Where ever a group of people congregate, there is the opportunity to recruit others to sell products or services on your behalf. There are some amazing products and services, both on the internet and physically, that you can promote to others online. MLM works there much as it has before the Internet came along. Just the location is now online.
Presales and Post-sales Customer Support - Companies need patient people to take calls from prospective and current customers. Being at home with the kids make this an ideal job for many a mother. One of the most popular airlines uses stay-at-home moms for just this purpose. They are not the only ones.
Affiliate Marketing - A lot of internet merchants will give you commissions for marketing their stuff on the internet. The internet is so large, that they cannot cover every possible way of finding customers for their products. Amazon is one of those companies, but there are many more. It does involve learning new skills for most people, but is doable for those willing to learn.
Marketing Your Own Products - This is where the hobby part comes in. I mean hobby in that you are really good at a skill, but you are not used to making money from it. Create an e-book or videos to market on the internet, so that others can benefit from what you know. If you think you have nothing to teach that has not been taught before, you are probably wrong. Think hard and see if you have a particular way of doing something in crafts, or fishing, or whatever that you can share. It does not have to be a huge thing. Just something a group of hobby fans would like to know. Judge it by this rule: "Would I like to know that if I did not already know it?"
And Much, Much More - I have only scratched the surface. The internet is a big place. Explore. Be open to what you see.

Find a good forum on the type of work you think you can do. Lots of people at the forum will be happy to help. They only ask that you are respectful and not expect to have everything handed to you on a platter. Add in your two cents where possible, but don't cope an attitude.

A second option for help is to find a mentor or a mastermind group that can help guide you through the learning phase. If you are going into MLM, Affiliate Marketing, or Marketing Your Own Products, then this is almost required. These can be steep learning curves, and you will need someone to hold you accountable. Be careful, though. There are a lot of slick marketers out there. Always check out the credentials of anyone you are contemplating as a mentor.

The last thing I will say is about your attitude towards work. Learning how to earn money online is not for lazy people. I will say that again. Learning how to earn money online is not for lazy people. There will be no manager watching over your shoulder to prompt you to turn off the television. Since we all long for individual freedom, we tend to see this as a good thing. However, it means you are your own manager. You cannot be soft on yourself. You must make goals and accomplish them. Communicate those goals to a trusted friend or mate, so they can double check your progress. Happy hunting for Internet Opportunity!

Learning [http://howtoearnmoneyonline.info]how to make earn money online requires study and persistence. It also requires a [http://howtoearnmoneyonline.info]helping hand. Come on over and learn more. See ya there!

Search Engines Are More Than Index Pages

Once your computer and internet skills have advanced to the extent that you now understand a few terms, you may began to wonder whether those mysterious search engines have a greater purpose than merely storing and indexing information. By now you know that a server is a place where websites containing all the information available on the World Wide Web is stored and a browser window is a page you open on your machine to type in items you are searching for. In other words you are browsing the internet and the server is serving up the stored information.

You have figured out that the machine that keeps all this information in some kind of order is an engine but is that really all that engines offer? Well in fact they offer so much more. Their primary job is to make sure that the information you receive is relevant. If you are searching for information about Coach purses you don't want to find information about football or basketball coaches. These engines use some very complicated algorithms which basically are a mathematical formula for sorting through all that available information and doing their best to give you just what you are searching for.

It is important to the various engines to give you the best information available just to make sure you will use their search engine in the future. After all you have a wide choice of search engines to choose from. Google, Yahoo and Bing are just a few of them but also the three major engines. Now how do these companies that provide these services pay their bills. One way is to offer advertising on their search pages. Remember those Coach purses we searched for earlier. When that page returned our information we noticed ads down the right side of the page. Usually about eight ads per page.

Advertisers pay the engine companies to place these ads on their pages. Every time someone clicks on one of these ads the engine company gets paid. Pretty slick eh. But you ain't seen nothing yet. The engines in order to get more traffic to these ads pays affiliates to place these ads on their websites. You see them all the time. Ads by Google for instance. There are probably some on this page. Now every time someone clicks on one of the ads on a website, the advertiser pays the search engine and the engine pays the website owner, called an affiliate, a portion of the ad revenue.

The magic of the internet. You can search the internet for free, except of course for what you pay your local cable company for access. Some very complicated and machinery finds just what you are looking for. And business people are able to promote their products and others are able to make a profit form those services. Just as with the legal system in the U.S., the search engine system is not perfect but is still the best system available and works very well. [http://externalharddrivedeals.net/]http://externalharddrivedeals.net http://harddrive1tb.com/

Nothing slows down your computer faster than overloading it with downloaded information. Do your computer a favor and check out the hard drive bargains on the above sites.

How Much Does it Cost to Start a Home-Based Travel Agency

Starting a business can be expensive. Buying a franchise, for example, can cost well over $100,000.

So what do you think it would cost to set up your very own home-based travel marketing business? A lot, right?

How does nothing sound?

Sure you can spend thousands of dollars to sign up with an agency that will offer you GDS training and marketing support and a lot of other bells and whistles.

And that may be absolutely the right choice for you. If so, there are hundreds of reputable agencies to choose from.

They advertise aggressively on the Internet, charge a pretty penny, and seldom offer any sort of money-back guarantee.

But it is still possible to get started selling travel as a home-based outside agent for absolutely nothing. Even as a rank beginner. (Of course, experienced agents, with a track record or, better yet, a following should have no trouble getting an agency to take them on with no upfront cost.)

Oh, all right. It'll probably cost you something. Some phone calls. Some gas. The cost of cleaning that suit to take a meeting.

The tradeoff is time. It can take time to smoke out a situation that lets you get into the travel industry with little or no upfront investment. And time, as some wise person once said, is money.

But it can be done. I know because I did it myself. When I made my first commissionable booking, I didn't even have a business card. Mind you, I don't encourage you to be that casual. I just want to make the point that there are many ways to accomplish essentially the same goal.

The important thing to remember is that no two people are alike and some people will feel far more comfortable paying a reasonable sign up fee to get started quickly.

Others will feel they need GDS (global distribution system) training. But many of these people don't know that it's possible to earn good money selling travel without ever going near a GDS.

Others will want to test the waters and keep their cash outlay to a minimum.

The decision is yours. But I think you can guess where I come down on the issue.

I believe it's better to learn how the business really works before you go out and start spending lots of money for things you don't really understand (like those GDS systems).

Once you have a good working knowledge of how to make money in this business, THEN you can start adding elements to your business -- IF it makes sense.

So do your homework. Don't fall for the first slick come-on you see on the 'Net.

Dig a little deeper. Look for so-called "host agencies" that charge no sign-up fees.

Or find a local agency that will take you on as an outside rep. Like I say, that can be a challenge, but it can be done.

Being a good travel agent is largely about doing good research, so this is an exercise that will pay dividends for years to come.

Kelly Monaghan is a home-based travel agent and writer. He has been helping people succeed as home-based travel agents since 1994. He offers further guidance for those who want to become a travel agent at his web site
