When approaching the idea of making money online, most of us can get rather excited at the prospect of making easy money; this was basically the idea, why most of us take the plunge. At first it seems to be easy, even though no money has yet been made, we can often swear we have the knack. But after some time has pass, we start to get a little weary, depressed sometimes and inventively start to spiral into a spin of anguish. It's no wonder that these types of businesses have been labeled a scam by most.
Honestly, the scams a very minimal. The problem with these types of businesses is the individual promoting them. Most beginners hype up their advertisements to try and get as many people to join their list, thinking at first that numbers equal money, I was once like this too. That's how I know. Let me tell you a bit about myself, the honest truth.
It all started when one day, I was so sick of my day job - and I mean it made me literally sick, I don't need to get into the details here, I think most of you reading this article can relate. Anyway, an idea popped into my head, the idea was to make money on the internet. I thought this was going to be easy, so I got really excited about it and signed up for the first program that I thought was good. After signing up, I had to go through hoops and hurdles to establish myself. Once established, I signed up for AdWords account with Google (pay per click advertisements). I then created my first website which I hyped up to the max and then did the same for my advertisements.
I was amazed at how many sign ups I received, I thought; gosh, this is great! So I kept up with it. It was only after a couple of months I started to realize, as the numbers grew, that maybe I'm getting people to sign up under hyped pretenses. You see, I worked real hard at it and when I noticed that my list of over 200 were not doing anything, the alarm bells went off. So I spent the next months working on trying to get my list of sign ups to do something. After several emails and even offers to pay for them, I had no response. It was the that I realized that, I must of given them the wrong idea. I learned my lesson well.
You see, if you give people the wrong idea, what happens is you get a whole lot of sign ups thinking that there's no work to making money online and in the long run, you've wasted your money on a business that destined to fail. What I discovered was, the total and honest truth has to be made clear and then that way, the people that do sign up know what to expect and they are the types that will move heaven and earth to succeed. So after a while I realized that I was not the only one in this type of mess, it's a big mistake made by a lot of beginners. One thing though, I came to the point I almost gave it all up, but that's not like me so I strived and did things the honest way. It was a lot of very hard work but I kept with it. I stumbled a couple of times but they were the times I questioned myself and my very actions. This made me stronger and I sought after every lesson I could get.
What I did eventually was to scrap everything and start from scratch; I spent another couple of months struggling as an affiliate marketer. I discovered that this was what I loved doing, but success entailed a long path of learning how to earn. I bought several programs and honestly, most of them were nothing short of absolute crap! My success started when I bought Affiliate weapon 2.0, at first I thought; This is the last straw, if I don't succeed with the lessons here, then I am going to have to do formal studies in uni. I followed the videos step by step and didn't rush into anything.
After putting to practice what I had learned, I still didn't do very well. But one of the key points mentioned within the tutorials stressed; I must choose the right niche, one that I understand and also understand my potential customers. After about two weeks from that point, I found the product that I totally understood and then I started targeting that niche. I was surprised! At first I only made a few bucks and this showed me that I must be doing something right, so I researched more upon this and kept following AW2, another two weeks later I was now making a sale per day. I was really excited, OK it wasn't much but this told me that, if I keep sticking to the instructions, then this can only get better.
Sure enough, 1 month down the track I was now making $400 dollars worth of sales. I kept testing and just kept researching. Another month flew by and by that stage I finally realized that I can make a living out of this now. So the following week, I quit my job and what a huge relief that was. But I wasn't totally relieved as I had worries that; what if I fail and not have any money to live by. I bit the bullet and thought, all in! Another month down the track after I had quit my job, I now make a comfortable living, earning from $600 to $2000 per week. Work still has to be put into this to keep it going but I would prefer that any day than to work for anybody anymore.
The bottom line is; if you want something bad enough, then you will eventually have it!
