Beekeepers Suit

There is no doubt that beekeeping is extremely interesting and a lot of fun. At the same time, it can be very dangerous if you do not handle it properly. Now that you have started beekeeping, you have got the bees and the ready-made hive. Have you not forgotten a vital part of beekeeping, a beekeeper suit?

A beekeeper suit is required to protect you from the deadly stings of the bees. I'm sure you know how that feels! You must know that bee stings can even kill a person. You need the protection whether you like it or not. To maintain the colonies of bees, it requires your manual intervention. Once you initially invade the hive of your bees, the moment you do so, the bees will take it as a threat and try to sting you. Here comes the beekeeper suit that would prove its worth.

Firstly, when buying a beekeeper suit, make sure that its parts are all light colored - dark color would make the bees see you more as a threat and they would get after you. Also, remember not to wear any perfume as bees have a strong sense of smell. This is probably the least liked attribute of a bee.

Secondly, with your rel=nofollow [http://www.beekeepingpassion.com/understanding-the-beekeeping-suit]beekeeper suit, make sure you get a veil (a fine mesh net) or protective hat to protect your face and neck from the stings. But while you wear them, make sure you are able to see well and get enough ventilation. Sometimes it is seen that the bees still manage to get inside the veil/hat. Do not panic; always stay calm, walk away from the hives and then take off your veil/hat to let the bees fly away. Do not, even by mistake, take off the veil/hat near the hive - it would be your open invitation for the swarm to attack and sting you! There are ready-made beekeeping-suits available in the market that includes the veils/hats.

Thirdly, with your beekeeper suit, make sure to buy plastic or vinyl covered gloves to protect your hands so that the stings do not easily penetrate them. When you wear the gloves, they should overlap the suit so that there is no room left for the bees to enter through any opening when they are in the mood to attack you.

Fourthly, with your beekeeper suit, make sure to buy boots (quite high - up to your knee would be better) to protect your legs and feet. Still, if by chance, few manage to go down your boot, walk away very slowly from the hive, take off your boots very gently and let the bees fly away. Do not make any such movement that would invite a swarm!

If you want to buy a secondhand/used beekeeper suit, make sure that it is free from any contamination and/or diseases.

3 Vital Pieces of Beekeeping Clothing

One of the most important parts of beekeeping is making sure you have the correct specialist equipment needed. Whether you are building your hive or trying to remove honey, having the right gear can make the job easier and safer. Inspecting the bees is a vital role of the beekeeper, and to do this correctly you will need a few pieces of beekeeping clothing.

Suit - All beekeepers, whether they are novices of professionals, should wear a suit when checking their bees. The suits are thick enough to ensure that the stingers of the bees do not hit the skin of the keeper, whilst being light enough for the keeper to move freely and easily. A good suit should also be light in color to ensure that the bees do not confuse their keeper with their natural predators, such as bears. Suits must also be washed and cleaned after every visit to the hive. Bee stingers that are left in the suits can encourage other bees to attack with the release of powerful chemicals and pheromones and must be removed before further visits to the hive.

Hat and veil - Bees can be particularly attracted to the face and mouth where warm breath is released. To protect against this, most beekeepers wear a veil over the face which is attached to a large brimmed hat. It is also harder to remove stingers from the neck and face without the use of a mirror, whereas stings in other areas can be batted away with the hands.

Gloves - Beekeepers use their hands a lot while maintaining and checking on the hive, so it is a good idea to wear gloves to protect them while they are exposed. The gloves are thick and lightweight, again to ensure that bees' stingers can not penetrate to the skin below. However, many beekeepers find that wearing gloves can be restrictive when they are performing certain tasks such as removing combs from the hive. At this point they may take them off, but you should only really do this if you are an experience beekeeper. Covering your hands in vinegar should also help keep the bees away.

Understanding the Beekeeping Suit

Although the first part of preparing yourself to work with bees is understanding the bee's first line of defense. Even with an understanding of bee behavior, most beekeepers also wear some protective clothing. Many people are allergic to bee stings. But, sometimes the only way that someone discovers that they are allergic to bee stings to the first time that they get stung. If you are considering keeping bees, you should first determine whether or not you are allergic to bee stings. Even very experienced beekeepers get stung. In fact, some beekeepers believe that the more stings a beekeeper receives, the less irritation each one will cause to the body in the future. They believe that it is important for the beekeeper to be stung a few times during the season. With frequent bee stings the beekeepers develop higher levels of antibodies due to the reaction of the bee venom which offers them a resistant to stings in the future.

But, to minimize the amount that they are stung, even very experienced beekeepers usually wears gloves and a hooded suit or hat and veil. Although, some experienced beekeepers sometimes choose not to use gloves because they inhibit some of the delicate work of working with bees. Plus, a bee sting that is received on a bare hand can usually be quickly removed by scraping it with a fingernail in order to reduce the amount of venom that is injected. A person's face and neck are the most important areas to protect because defensive bees are attracted to the a person's breath. There can be much more pain and swelling on the face than a sting received elsewhere on the body. Plus, it is difficult for the beekeeper to remove the bee sting from their face without looking at a mirror. It is important to learn how to approach the bees calmly in order to avoid an aggressive assault from a large group of bees that is targeting the face.

Beekeeping suits are full length jumpsuits that are worn by the beekeeper when they are tending to the bee hive. The protective suit that beekeepers wear is usually light in color, typically white, and made out of a smooth material. A bee suit that is light in color provides the largest difference from a bee colony's natural predators like bears and skunks which tend to be dark-colored and furry. The beekeeping suit also gives the beekeeper a way to remove stings and venom sacs simply with a tug on the clothing. Protective clothing may also hinder or reduce the venom from the bee-stings from entering into the body. The stings that are left in the fabric of the suit will continue to pump out an alarm pheromone that attracts aggressive action and further stinging attacks from the bees. In order to reduce the risk of the bees picking up the sent the next time that the beekeeper visits the hive, the suit should be washed regularly. They can also rinse their hands in vinegar to minimize the bee's attraction.

Secrets to Making Money Online - An Expensive Watch and a Shiny Suit

I don't know about you. I used to get envious, when I look at photos of successful Internet Marketers. They would always have a gleam in their eyes. They would carry a million dollar smile. They would be attired in a new shiny suit. Best of all, most of them would be carrying a huge expensive looking watch.

I always wished that I was one of the people in those photos. Don't you?

It was only when I met some friends who were hugely successful internet marketers, that I realized there was no secret formula to it all. Like you, these guys started off sitting at home in front of their computers. In some drastic cases, they started off with an empty bank account.

So how did they succeed? How did they transform into that successful person in those photos? There was no magic to it; almost all of them followed these basic steps to the tee.

1. Begin with a step by step system

At the beginning, most of you would have no idea where to start. Rather than reinvent the wheel, you would want to follow a proven step by step system. This allows you to pick up easily, and gives you a higher probability of success.

Once you have mastered the basic steps, you will be able to tweak them to your own preference.

2. Use simple strategies

You do not need a PhD in quantum physics to do internet marketing. If you do, you might be better off with a career in quantum physics.

Avoid complicated strategies that are time consuming to learn. You cannot get started, if you do not understand the strategy you chose. You are far better off using simple and straightforward strategies. These get you started quickly.

3. Avoid quick schemes and scams

There are numerous "get rich quick" schemes and scams on the internet. Beware of such schemes. Do not believe if anyone tells you they have a secret "get rich quick" formula. There is no such thing. Every successful and wealthy person had to work to get to where they are.

4. Focus on One Strategy

You have limited time, energy and resources. If you pursue too many strategies, you spread yourself too thin. You may end up overstretching yourself and quitting prematurely, before you achieve any results. It will take some time before you see any results. I would recommend you focus on one strategy, make it a successful one, before you proceed to the next.

5. Persevere Until You Succeed

Rome was not built in a single day. Like any endeavor, you will have your ups and downs. Internet marketing will not make you rich overnight. It is not difficult, but you do need to put in some effort. If you persevere, you can make a lot of money through internet marketing.

Go for it! Who knows? The next photo I see of a guy in an expensive watch and a shiny suit might just be yours...

Warning! 3-Way Calling Could Ruin Your Business

If you've been in the MLM world for more than 15 minutes, then you have heard about the 3 way call. Designed as tool to edify your up-line while, while your up-line markets to your prospect, it can be as fatal as a rattlesnake bite. Let me tell you why.

The Truth:

Your up-line should always be there to support your efforts, but they also have a hidden agenda. They know that 96% of the people will fail in network marketing in the first 90 days and you are probably one of them. After you fail, you have (on and average) brought in 2.4 people. If they have made the close on these people, then they have the "professional interaction" with them. Your prospect views your up-line as the expert, so who cares when you drop out; life for your up-line goes on.

The Problem

Image for a minute, walking to a Men's Clothing Store to buy a suit. You ask the salesmen " which suit is better, 100% wool or a wool blend?" He doesn't know and he goes and asks his manager. Then you ask if this suite comes in Navy Blue? Again he leaves with a question for the manager. "Does the suit come with a 2nd pair of pants?" As he walks away for a 3rd time to ask the manager, you ask hit to keep walking and send over the manager to help you.

In your mind, this salesman has lost all credibility of being a professional in the clothing industry. When you have a question, you want another suit, or you refer a business associate to that store because you love the suit you bought, will you recommend that salesmen. The answer is an absolute NO!

The Solution

The same goes for network marketers. You have to take a stand, on the very first day, to be a professional in this business. Think about positioning yourself on a pedestal, even if it's on of an inch off the ground. Know your product and the benefits it has, and then make a list of 500 questions you, as a prospect would ask. Find those answers from your company web site, or your up-line, it doesn't matter.

Then work on the prospecting script. You don't have a prospecting script... well your up-line does! Maybe they're holding out on you, so go find someone else to help you. You are an independent business person, time to start acting like one.

In Conclusion:

History is full of good and bad people, who stood up and took a leadership role. People follow leaders, even to their death. Don't go giving away that position of leadership to your up-line, because they will take it without a second thought, leaving you with nothing.
