Arbonne has a wide range of products such as skin care, make-up, hair, nutritional supplements, weight loss and aroma therapy items. They boast of all natural ingredients and claim to have skin care products, for example botanically based without the use of mineral oil. However, that has been disputed. The company has had it's fair share of controversy as with many other company's. Arbonne's descrepancies include critiques on whether or not the products truly are as pure as they say.

Nevertheless, Arbonne holds to their convictions. They claim to make good use of the natural resources on our planet using only good quality, highly effective ingredients.

The Company Arbonne, also offers a company opportunity. One may sell their products through independent consultants. However, also along with other companies, that aspect, too, raises eyebrows amongst the critiques. They have been accused of having their programs noted as being too intense regarding their motivational tactics and incentives. Apparently, some may feel that being rewarded with a $ 75,000.00 Mercedes Benz is a little over the top.

In any event, there are always disadvantages and advantages to any company or business opportunity.

The products here have been said to have a higher price point, however, the company and their products continue to grow and expand on the consumer market today. They boast of revenues in the upper millions and have seemingly survived the hurdles which have been presented to them.

Review of Arbonne International

Arbonne International was started in Switzerland in 1975 and relocated to the U.S. in 1980. Its famous Natural Swiss Pure Skin Care line was developed in Switzerland by Petter Morck and a group of bio-chemists. These products are based on natural botantical principles, use no animal products or by-products, undergo no animal testing, and are hypo-allergenic and environmentally safe. As I previously stated there are more than 300 products. They are all reputed to be very high quality, but I have yet to determine their unique selling point. Their products are often likened to MaryKay and Avon. The skin care products do seem to garner the most praise, especially the Pure Swiss Skin Care line, but their customers seem to be pretty happy with all of their offerings. These products are sold all around the world and the demand is huge.

Arbonne's holding company did file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January 2010, but the thousands of Arbonne distributors hardly noticed. That is, they are not affected other than the possibility that they might have to answer questions about the bankruptcy. Still it should be business as usual for the distributors as the company reorganizes its debts. From what I understand, this holding company had this debt before they acquired Arbonne.

Arbonne now has new ownership and they managed to rid themselves of 80% of the debt associated with them during the restructuring. Because the Chapter 11 filing was successful, there is no lingering news out there about the bankruptcy, so most people will never hear about it. It's kind weird to assert after that kind of news that this appears to be a solid business opportunity, but it is. The distributors were never impacted by the filing, and Arbonne actually emerged from the bankruptcy more solid than ever.

As for the business opportunity, to become a consultant only costs $29 for the basic starter-kit. You can purchase a super-starter kit for $65 also, if you choose. Arbonne has a very lucrative uni-level compensation plan. There are 5 distinct business builder levels: Consultant with an average monthly income of $74.09 per month, District Manager averaging $236 per month, Area Manager averaging $1,173 per month, Regional Vice President averaging $4,778, and a National Vice President averaging $22,550 per month. I found the compensation plan to be kind of complicated for a potential newbie to try to explain, but the company does pay its distributors handsomely. Arbonne pays up to 53.8% in commissions on every retail product sold. Still the potential to make a substantial income here is beyond dispute. But then this is a MLM company, so any earnings will largely rely on the skill, determination, and leadership ability of each consultant. Like most MLM companies, Arbonne distributors largely continue to build their businesses offline, instead of leveraging the power of the internet. Since Arbonne is already an international concern, distributors should learn how to leverage the power of the internet if they want to build a truly international business.
