COMPANY HISTORY:

The company was founded by 2 experienced marketing professionals from Florida. Both have extensive experience with network marketing and selling discounted electricity to major commercial users. They were approached by Mr. Bob Gries to establish a marketing company for Public Power LLC, headquartered in Connecticut. Mr. Gries and purchased 100% interest in Public Power approximately 4 years ago.

He is a long respected businessman located in Tampa, Fl. He owns a large Asset Management company in Tampa, started 2 professional sports franchises in Tampa and Orlando and his family was involved with ownership of the Cleveland Browns for years. He felt strongly that the way to spread the news quickly was via the Network Marketing model.

THE INDUSTRY:

The energy market is 6 times larger than the telecommunications market. When the AT&T and the telecom industry was broken up and de-regulated in the early 1980"s, consumers saved millions, product innovation returned and entrepreneurs who spotted the opportunity early on in the game, made fortunes. The energy market currently represents a similar opportunity.

THE PRODUCT:

The service is simply discounted gas or electric service. What residential customer or commercial business would not seize on the opportunity to save 15 -20% on their electric bill, particularly with energy prices rising. It's interesting that AMA is one of a very few companies that offers their reps the opportunity to actually earn a substantial income from just selling the service without having to recruit anyone. The potential in the commercial end of the business is huge.

THE COMPENSATION PLAN:

Without going into a lot of detail, there are 8 ways to earn income: 4 are immediate income and 4 are long-term residual income. In my opinion, AMA offers one the few opportunities in the Network Marketing to earn a True residual income. Most companies in the health and wellness industry have a substantial, yearly customer turnover making it difficult to develop a residual income without having a huge down line. Electricity on the other hand is probably the very last service that a family would drop if they are tying to reduce expenses. A family would be far more likely to eliminate their land line, cell phone service, cable TV, Tivo, and internet service before cutting off their electric service.

MARKETING AND TRAINING:

Initially AMA offered little in terms of training and internet marketing support. That all changed recently and they have a new state-of-art website with loads of training and support. More recently they approved a complete, turnkey marketing system called End The Hype. This appears to be the most, technologically advanced training and marketing system available today. End The Hype, along with a superior compensation plan seem to give AMA a major advantage over their competition.

COST:

The fee to join is currently only $39.95. This compares with more typical fees of $199 to $499 to join other companies. Ongoing monthly fee is only $44.95 per month, compared with typical MLM auto-ship requirements of $50 to $100 per month.

CONS:

I could not find any. If I was not happy where I am today, I would consider this company to be of 4 or 5 I would consider very seriously.

Other web sites are not so legal and they are the ones I am talking about today. Over the years there have been many web sites that have popped up offering all of the latest TV shows that are on the air right now. The general public loves these web sites because they allow you to catch a show that you might have missed. And if you do not have Tivo, this is a good thing. But there is also another side to web sites such as these. They have to make money and a lot of times they make money by exploiting you, their visitor.

The pay wall

One of the ways that they are able to exploit your information is by making you sign up for something to watch the TV shows. By signing up for something, we mean that they make you fill out a poll and after you are done you must give them your email address. While this might not be an attack that can hurt your computer, it is something that will lead you to have a lot of spam in your inbox in the near future. If you wonder how your inbox is always filled with so much spam, this is one of the ways that it happens.

The malware

Another way that you are exposed by using these websites is through different types of malware. Just like they get you to give them your email address to watch the TV show, they will now instead try to get you to click on a link to watch the show. As you should know by now, clicking on strange links on the internet is never a good thing. And with legally dubious web sites such as these, it is even worse. You might not even notice the malware being loaded into your computer system. It might act perfectly fine but in the meantime, it is taking your data and sending it to another machine. The link might even put something in your computer that will make you send money to try and stop the attack. Either way, because you wanted to watch a TV show, your computer is now compromised.

Not all of the web sites that you can watch TV on are like this but most of them are. If you really need to see a TV show that has just aired, there are many ways to do so besides going to one of these sketchy sites. You can use Hulu as we discussed before or you can go on iTunes and see if they have it available. These methods might not be as convenient but they sure are a lot safer.

Six Ways to Find More Time to Work on Your Internet Business

It's a common complaint.... one that I've used myself in the past.

When we're already doing everything we can to keep your head above water -- and that ever-growing "to-do" list keeps dragging us down -- the idea of taking on a massive new project can seem pretty daunting (even when we know the rewards of completing that project will be HUGE.)

Time management isn't something new to many us we use it every day while at work. However, when we're home and working on our business there appears to be a whole new set of distractions.

However, no matter HOW busy we are, we can always squeeze more hours out of your day. We just have to know where to find those hidden hours -- and then make the best possible use of them!

Here are 6 "time-finder" tips I found that helped me and will help you cross those items off your "to-do" list as quickly and efficiently as possible, so you can devote more time on the work that really matters...

Time-finder tip #1: Turn off your email!

Email is a HUGE distraction. Every time you hear that little "ding" that announces a new email, it interrupts your thoughts and makes it harder to get back into the same productive mindset.

Set yourself specific times to check your email and respond to it (if ABSOLUTELY necessary -- otherwise, ignore it), like at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and then at 5:00 p.m., just before I leave work. That way, you don't have to deal with endless distractions during the day.

And I if someone who emails you REALLY wants to get in touch ASAP, they can always pick up the phone and call!

Time-finder tip #2: Set yourself scheduled "surfing" times

Internet browsing is right up there with email as a major source of distraction. It's all too easy to get sucked into reading your favorite blogs or news sites -- and then discovers that almost an hour has passed, and you have nothing to show for it!

If you enjoy surfing a bit too much for your own good, set yourself scheduled browsing times. For example, for every two hours of hard work you do, reward yourself with 10 minutes of random "pleasure" surfing.

Just make sure you don't go over your allotted time! Set an alarm if you have to, so you can get back to your work when your time is up.

Time-finder tip #3: Cut your lunch time in half

If you get an hour off for lunch, use 30 minutes of that time to work on your website. Half an hour might not seem like much, but it's amazing what you can get done in that time if you really focus on it.

... Also, if you don't already do this, try to bring your own lunch to work so you don't have to waste valuable time going out to buy it. Plus, you'll also save money that way!

Time-finder tip #4: Use your "slack time" wisely

By "slack time," we mean those periods of time during a day where you're stuck doing nothing -- such as when you're commuting on a bus or train, or waiting in line at a bank machine.

Bring along some training materials to read wherever you go, so you can use that "slack time" to brush up on your learning and put the time you spend in front of a computer to better use.

... You should also bring a notepad and pen with you wherever you go, so you can jot down any good ideas you might have (for example, ideas for niche markets or keywords to research).

Time-finder tip #5: Prioritize your tasks

Even though all the tasks on your "to-do" list may seem like they're all high-priority items that need to be done ASAP, chances are some tasks are truly more important than others.

Before you begin work each day -- whether it's for your "day" job or your website -- write a list of everything you have to accomplish that day and then prioritize the items on the list according to how important they REALLY are.

Next, rewrite the list so the absolute MOST important tasks are at the top of the list, with the least essential ones towards the bottom. That way, you're guaranteed to get your most important tasks out of the way first.

... And if there are any tasks on the list that don't REALLY need to be done, then consider crossing them off the list altogether!

The last thing you need to be involved in are silly "make work" tasks that don't really benefit anyone. Your time would be better spent working ahead on the important projects that really DO need to get done right away.

That way, you can free up even MORE of your time to devote on your website!

Time-finder tip #6: Go on a "TV diet"

Many people like to come home from work and "decompress" with a little time in front of the TV.

... Well, as you probably know, TV is one of the biggest time wasters there is -- so even if you think that an evening of TV is helping you relax, all it's really doing is stealing valuable time from you -- time that would be better spent working on your website!

Allow yourself one hour of TV watching MAXIMUM each day. Pick your favorite show each day and pre-record it, if you can. (Tivo is one of the great tech inventions). That way, you can fast-forward through the commercials and earn yourself an extra 15 minutes that otherwise would be wasted.

Then, when your site is finished, you can reward yourself with a free weekend in which to catch up on all your favorite shows!

... So there are my "time-finder" tips to help you squeeze more time out of your day.

They might seem pretty simple, but if you follow them faithfully, you'll be amazed at how much more time you'll have to spend on growing your website.
