Start Your Own Business - Learn How To Use The Internet To Make Some Money

The Internet is still a mystery to most people, even the websites that are owned by some of the richest people in the world were started almost by accident.

The Domain name 'Pizza.com' was purchased originally for $20 and then sold for $ 2.6 million, you can click on it now and order a pizza where-ever you are, but the thing is this that the man who sold that name 'pizza.com' sold just the name. He wasn't a genius just somebody like you and me.

The man who registered the name business.com sold that domain name, for guess how much? $7.5million, then there was... eBay?... Facebook... the list goes on and on...
Not one of those business's were started as we understand convention business's start. They were stumbled upon, simple as that...

So why do I mention those particular websites?

Here is why: We tend to think that the people that started them are cleverer than us. Well they are not. They just saw an opportunity and took it, they was in the right place at the right time. Its true that most of the 'good' domain names have gone, but, now there is a new link out, there was three main ones before .com,.net,.org but the clever internet people have now come out with a new one out.co

So just imagine it you could have bought pizza.co for $29 and then sold it for $2.6 million (or business.co and saved $7.5 million?).

Here is the main point of my story:

In the town where I live there are quite a few pizza take always and it was in the newspaper just a short while ago that the oldest pizza place in town was shutting down and the owner of the store said that he was closing up shop because he could not compete with the new pizza places. Because they was using the internet to sell their pizzas and he didn't know how to do it.

So why do I mention that? Here's why:

A lot of people who want to start their own business think 'well I want to work close to home so I don't need the internet' guess what although eBay sells worldwide did you know that they are also the largest seller of used cars in the world? They sell a used car every 90 seconds day and night, they are also the largest seller of real estate in the world as well...
If you would like to check out the 'How to use the Internet to make some money' then there are lots of places to go to, but you really want to try and find a site where the emphasis is on you doing what you want to do and building the business that you want to build for yourself.

Not in becoming just a part of somebody else's business.

Learning takes time, as does going to University or any other type of Education, but the Internet is here and it is not going away, Good luck, and all the best,

Are Internet Marketing Consultants a Must for Your Business?

Internet marketing has been said to be full of promises. Companies large and small are incorporating online marketing into their marketing strategy mix. However, many experts on marketing believe that any business or company needs an Internet consultant in order to really succeed. This is because of the presence of many online businesses today. The competition in the marketing world has made Internet marketing consultants highly on demand.

So, who is an Internet marketing consultant? An Internet marketing consultant is a person (or sometimes a company) that provides advice, strategies and plans for the goal of reaching maximum positive results in your online marketing business. The consultant usually comes u with advices and solutions to solve any operational problems you might be facing in your marketing strategy.

The main function of an Internet marketing consultant is to offer advice in order to increase sales and generate traffic into your online marketing business. The service offered often depends on you as the client. What you want, they provide. These consultants also help to generate greater income for your business. Experts believe that Internet marketing consultants are vital for your online-based business because they know the right technique to convert traffic into paying customers. If you are not too sure if what you are doing is right, then you definitely need an Internet marketing consultant to help you.

Starting a business can be stressful. Running a business on the Internet can be equally stressful since the competition is greater in the World Wide Web. Often, in stress you might question each and every strategic move you make. Thus, it does help when you have a second opinion on things. An Internet consultant's job is exactly that. He or she is to provide you with advice if your move is favorable or not. If you are a beginner in business, an Internet marketing consultant can be beneficial for you. These consultants can help you solve problems and provide answers to uncertainties. However, you must remember that it is not their job to make the decision. Based on their advice, you need to decide for yourself, what is best for your business.

The major concern is finding the right consultant for your business. You need to scout and look for a good agency that is well established. It also helps to refer to the history of the consultant to see which type of companies and businesses he or she has consulted for. Make sure you choose a consultant you are comfortable working with and has experience in your field of business. Internet marketing consultants can also help you choose the right marketing strategy for your business. With a second opinion, the chances of you questioning and second-guessing your every move will be less. Your job is to learn from these consultants on Internet marketing to manage your business and solve any operational problems that you might encounter.

A good marketing consultant can help you gain confidence. They can help you maintain your competitive nature in your business. These consultants assure you positive results and effective online marketing strategies. It is also assuring to know there is someone you can go to in face of a problem. Consultants can help you make the right decision for the growth of your business. This in turn will lead you to the path of success. So, if you are facing problems in your Internet marketing of your business, you can turn to an Internet marketing consultant for assistance and advice.

Lose Your Job in Any of These Five Shrinking Industries? Consumers Still Need Your Expertise

There are a number of industries where it appears that the jobs that have left are not coming back any time soon. What's worse is that economic and budgetary issues make it look like job pressures are going to continue. If you're in any of these industries, you might be looking over your shoulder but if you've got some expertise in your field people still need you and starting an internet business may be the perfect way to reach them.

Here are a few of the industries where starting an internet business based on your knowledge might not only replace lost income, it could exceed it:

Construction - As less homes sell, more people will be inclined to remodel a kitchen, their bathroom, or some other area of the house. Whether it's lighting, flooring, or any other improvement, many will be looking to do it themselves. That where your expertise will be in demand. If you can provide valuable remodeling guidance that saves money, people will want to see (and pay for) what you know.
Realtors - If there's one group of people seeking advice and guidance on a bunch of different topics today, it's homeowners. They're seeking knowledge on home selling, avoiding foreclosure, short sales, and a host of other urgent issues. Starting an internet business that delivers guidance in these areas can help your target audience while providing an income to you.
The automobile industry - As consumers shift toward buying used cars to save money they'll seek experts that help them save money on engine repairs, body work, and anything else that can go wrong with a used car. Starting an internet business based on providing guidance on refurbishing these used cars is another area where consumers will be willing to pay for advice, especially if it saves money.
Educators - As the quality of education declines due to layoffs of teachers and other cutbacks in the classroom, parents will be looking online for teaching methods for math, spelling, and the rest of the curriculum. They'll also being seeking coaching/advice/ guidance on how to teach their own kids.
Police, firefighters, and other public safety workers - Providing expertise in any area of personal safety will find demand from consumers whether it's making a home fire-safe or self-protection at night.

Each of these areas provides an opportunity for starting an internet business which provides much needed help to other people. This guidance can come in the form of e-books, courses, coaching, and a host of other options. The great thing is, while you're helping other people, you can make a great income for yourself.

Jeffrey Krohnfeldt writes extensively on the best practices in starting an internet business. To that end, he covers the products and practices that work and those that don't in order to get his readers the fastest start possible in this dynamic field. He also offers a free online marketing course. Are you trying to jumpstart your internet marketing? Visit his blog at http://jumpstartonlinemarketing.com/blog/

Trying to Earn Money Quickly With an Internet Business? These 3 Tips Will Keep Your Business Afloat

If you're trying to earn money quickly through a new Internet business there are three things that are absolutely necessary to have in order to be successful.

If you lack any one of these things, your chances of failing are greatly higher than the others in your field.

#1 -- Dedication

You must be fully dedicated to your new business.

A new business is much like a new baby, it must be nurtured and taking care of as it grows. Do not, I repeat do not start an online business in an attempt to earn money quickly and think that you will be able to just set it and forget it.

You'll find yourself putting in more hours than most full-time jobs and this is exactly what is required in order to be successful. You must be willing to do anything at anytime of the day for any duration of time in order to be successful.

#2 -- Knowledge

Entering a niche you have zero knowledge about is not advisable. If you have zero knowledge of the niche you are entering you have zero skills. You are not able to assist your customers. You are not even able to answer simple questions. If you have been a car salesman your entire life no interest in tarot cards, do not attempt to sell tarot cards online or anything involved with tarot cards or tarot card readings. You will be setting yourself up for failure.

On the other hand if you have been a used car salesman your entire life offer your services to those looking to buy a used car. Create video tutorials to show them what they should look for when going under the hood of a car they are looking to buy. Create e-books detailing what to look for to avoid purchasing a lemon.

In the end this will result in more money in your pocket and a loyal customer base.

#3 -- Financing

The step is pretty self-explanatory, if you do not have the financial backing to start an online business, do not attempt to start an online business. If you don't have the budget to purchase advertising, design, seo etc. etc. you will not be able to compete with those in your field.

A much better game plan would be to save your pennies until you have the required amount of money to launch a full-blown Internet business. This will give you a much better chance of being successful.

When All Else Fails Just Get Out There and Talk

Sometimes I wondered why things were not picking up for my internet business. Well it was because I was nervous that possibly I might be considered the used car sales guy of the web. Now I know there are plenty of you out there that are hoping to make it rich without letting your closest friends know.

Well the quickest way to get customers is just to believe that they will see what you see in your business. Be passionate and not afraid. Word of mouth is powerful. If you have a product or service try getting on Facebook or MySpace. Advertise to your friends. If they are your friend they will tell their friends you do not share. What I like about the social networking aspect is they (friends) cannot say you never told me. Maybe word will spread faster than you think.

My friend started her own salsa dip company. She had fifty plus orders in a day. The day when she let her dream out. Just go out and say "I am here". O.k.. I know that is so obvious. Well then do it.

First, talk to your closest friends if you have not. Second, get out and advertise on social networks. Third, do some advertising free and otherwise. Business cards are huge. Give that to your friend. That is a conversation starter! All I am saying is "do not hide". Tell everyone you can, serve them well, and build a reputation. If they do not know they will not know. "Build it and they will come" only worked in the movie!

I Found My Life on CraigsList - Part 1

I found my life on Craigslist. Before Craigslist, if you wanted to find an apartment, you had to look in the newspaper. If you were looking for a roommate, you had to look at bulletin boards. If you wanted to find a job, there were print classifieds. If you needed used furniture, a used car, scalper tickets to a hot event, household services, or a musician's gig, you were pretty much on your own with whatever yellow pages (what were those again?) or other leads you could scrape together. And discussion forums where you could rave to your heart's content were limited to soapboxes and coffee shops.

My adventure with Craigslist began with shopping for a job. As a freelance writer, I used the job boards in my city of choice as a primary source for finding jobs. Within a short time, I'd landed work with an internet/new media ad agency writing scripts for online infomercials. Commercial writing is relatively well-paid, and it led eventually to full time employment requiring a move to a new city, with not much time to find a place to live.

Again, Craigslist to the rescue. Though it turned out there was only one furnished apartment listing in the location and category I needed, it was a winner. I sealed the deal in a New York minute, and was ready to assume my new life in a new city.

Next was shopping for a house. I planned to go with an agent, but first perused the local CL real estate listings to get a sense of what kind of market I was looking at. The market looked good, and I bought my dream house - but I needed furniture! As a single gal on a budget, starting fresh with only half my stuff following a divorce, it wasn't coming from Macy's Furniture Gallery. It was going to have to come from - where else - Craigslist.

It became a nightly ritual, scrolling through page after page of ugly furniture to find the wide variety of items I needed. Searching for a dozen different types of things took too long, so I subjected myself to the mind-numbing practice of reading every ad, for everything. There is a LOT of ugly furniture out there, and Craigslist has it all. But mixed in with the hideous and the mundane were the occasional quality pieces with genuine style, and only lightly used. I found the perfect dining set, end tables, even a 19th century washstand/cupboard - all for cheap. And a sewing table far better than the antique one I'd previously used, which my ex-husband had kept. But the item I love best of all, my sit-down vanity table with matching tri-fold mirror, is the greatest find of all not just because it's beautiful and well-made, it also came with a story.

The seller of the vanity - Susan - was a little cautious about who it would go to. It had been her mother's, and Mom cared that it go to a lady who would care for it, who'd use it well and often. Being close to a "10" on the vanity scale myself, I was the perfect buyer. The morning construction activity at my vanity table clocks in at about 1 minute longer each year as I age so that by now I'm sitting there for a good twenty minutes before I'm ready to face the world.

We fell into a merry discussion about aging beauty queens, life after divorce, and being owned by terriers and, to make a long story short, we became fast friends. Susan has continued to follow my lively adventures as a new divorcee in the dating scene.

Which leads me to the next part of life that Craigslist is taking care of for me - men. (This is the part where my kids can elect to stop reading.) Having delivered me of a job, a place to live, my furnishings and a new girlfriend, I figured it was only natural that I should fill the void in my love life by trolling through the personals there and seeing what I could dredge up.

Casting my line into the flotsam of males in my age group in various stages of divorce, confirmed bachelorhood and everything in between, I was pleasantly surprised by the results that turned up. Maybe it's because I write advertising for a living, but I guess I wrote a really good ad and besides that, I'm not a bot, a pimp or a Russian prostitute. (I probably shouldn't flatter myself; most males' standards are, after all, fairly low when they sniff out +a real woman wanting a date.)

Julie Stewart is a lifelong writer with a checkered past that includes law practice, legislative affairs, public relations and advertising. In short, every vilified profession except used car dealer. "Writer" at least has that certain air of intrigue, without making people feel like you're going to lie to them.

Home Based Business - Why You Must Ditch Your Sales Pitch and Do This Instead

You have probably made this same mistake yourself. Find out what this problem is and why you need to stop it.

Most people think that Mike was born with the gift of gab because he was so comfortable in every social situation. People just seem to flock to Mike because he has that "certain something" that makes them feel like they have known him forever. I'm sure you know someone just like Mike, right?

There is no question that many home based business owners fail because they don't have the skills that come so naturally to Mike. Correct me if I'm wrong, but most network marketing people have never been told how to approach people about their opportunity. They just wing it and hope for the best.

We can all agree that, if you want to build a successful home based business you better know to build relationships. The fact is, the biggest destroyer of trust between people is "The Sales Pitch". Now matter how great your business is, people could care less about you and your sales pitch. Get over it and become skilled at making people want to do business with you.

Mike earned a six figure income year in and year out. It wasn't because he was like a used car salesman and aggressively pushed people into buying his product. It wasn't because Mike knew dozens of "clever closes" that he used on his customers like some magic fairy dust. It wasn't because he "kept selling" until his customers just couldn't stand it any more.

Mike became a top earner in his home based business because he stopped giving people a sales pitch. What Mike discovered will help you too. Instead of trying to "sell" someone on his business, Mike became a trusted consultant. He replaced his sales pitch with a questioning approach and saw his business grow tremendously.

As a matter of fact, the secret to Mike's method was that by asking questions, such as, "How will a home based business make your life better?" or "Tell me why an extra $500 a month would be important to you?". By Mike asking questions, his potential team members for his business would discover for themselves the reasons why they should join his opportunity. Mike didn't have to do any selling because he was smart.

Never think of yourself as a salesman. You are a consultant whose job it is to help people discover for themselves, the reasons why your home based business is the right decision for them and their dreams. If you use this approach of being a consultant instead of a salesman, you will feel the joy of welcoming a new team member to your business.

Be smart like Mike and ditch the pitch.

Attraction Marketing Principle - Negative Emotions Are More Powerful Than Positive Emotions

Attraction Marketing says that people buy with their emotions and then justify with their logic. Now we move even further to clarify the role of emotion in getting people to make purchases by adding the following. "Negative emotions are even more powerful than positive emotions in getting people to buy." If you understand this and act on it, you can increase your rate of conversion.

I still remember as clear as day my feelings some years ago when I went to a dealers to buy a used car. He told me about a particular car that was in great condition and he was selling it at a great price. However, if I wanted it, I would have to act fast because it was going to go fast! Perhaps you have had a similar experience.

I knew what he was doing. He was trying to get me to buy fast and he was appealing to my "fear of loss". Even though I knew what he was doing, I still felt the power of his approach. I did manage to resist it, however!

Attraction Marketing Understands the Power of Negative Emotions in Selling

A pioneer in attraction marketing as it applies to network marketing, both in selling products as well as in getting network marketing leads, states the principle like this: "In most cases, negative emotions are more powerful than positive ones. A lot more powerful."

She goes on to say, "The fear of loss or the avoidance of pain has a much stronger grip on the majority of us than the desire for gain or pleasure. For the most part, people will go out of their way to avoid discomfort a lot more than they will to improve their situation. And they respond greater to messages that stir up feelings of anger, skepticism, bitterness, fear, etc."

A few weeks ago I was introduced to a business training opportunity that promised to be exceptional. It was promoted in various ways for a week or more. Then when the doors were opened to buy in we were told there were only 300 places. I knew there were thousands of people who had been listening to the same promotion. They actually talked about the "drool factor".

I called my wife to ask her to check it out. I told her of the wonderful possibilities it offered me. I said that it was going fast, and it was. I said I thought I better buy in "today" if I wanted to be assured a place.

She reminded me that that is what it is designed to do. To make you feel like rushing to assure your place. She talked of the numerous times she had heard similar appeals in her field of real estate sales and how often she gave in only to find that it did not deliver for her all that she was hoping for. Fortunately for me she was there, because, though it was likely great, it was not what I needed at that point.

It illustrates the power of negative emotions. If you doubt their power, try making a list of all the emotions you can possibly think of. A list of 30 or 50 emotions. Then count how many of them are positive and how many are negative. You will find that the vast majority are negative.

Again, notice what is majored on in the news, whether in newspapers or on television. It is the things that evoke all our negative emotions, our disgust, or fear, or agony, or pity. It is unfortunate, but this is the way it is. People would not buy the newspaper that only told of good things. Negative emotions truly are more powerful than positive ones to move us.

Attraction Marketing Taps into Negative Emotions to Promote Sales

We need to ask the ethical question. Is it legitimate to appeal to negative emotions for selling or is this manipulative and taking advantage of people?

I am sure it could be manipulative, and we need to be careful not to take unfair advantage of people. (Like in ads about the lottery!) However, if there is a real danger to avoid or a real and valuable loss to fear, it is worth knowing it and it is worth taking action on it.

In the above example, there really were only 300 spots for training because they wanted to maintain a certain level of quality and individual contact. I did need to think through my priorities and see if it would be valuable for me or not.

Attraction marketing is all about finding people who are looking and finding how badly they want what you have to offer. This way you can sort and sift through the hundreds of people who are looking to find those best qualified for your business opportunity or your product. It is about getting people to come after you instead of you chasing after them. It is about leveraging the internet net and using automation to do this sifting for you rather than you chasing down one person at a time to see if they are looking.

7 Home-Based Businesses You Could Start With Next to No Money

Many home-based businesses can be started with little or no money upfront. This can be a huge advantage for those on a limited budget who simply want to earn some extra income to supplement employment income.

However, there are some pitfalls to be wary of. Firstly, laws and regulations vary from State to State and Country to Country, so it is essential you get proper legal advice to ensure you fully comply when starting a home business. You don't want to start a business only to get closed down a few days later. Also, you need to be aware of the risks involved. Seek proper financial advice. Thoroughly research the market and do cash flow projections. The more work you can do before you invest any money or get started, the lower your risk should be.

When starting a business you could run head first into a bureaucratic brick wall of rules and regulations. If you try to avoid them you could run the risk of facing legal action, or getting your business closed down. That is why it is best to be aware of any potential problems before getting started in business.

Here are 7 ways some people make money in home-based businesses. One or more of them might be of interest and worth investigating further.

1. Become a Marriage Celebrant

The variety of marriage ceremonies that are undertaken continues to increase. Many couples are opting for a non-church service that is tailored to their individual needs. Why not train as a marriage celebrant and offer unique marriage services for your clients.

2. Bake and Decorate Birthday Cakes

There is a large market for children's birthday cakes. Visit your local library, or book shop, for some wonderful books that will inspire your creativity. Cakes can be made from scratch, or simply purchase fresh sponge cake from your local supermarket or food store. Photograph each cake that you make to add to your portfolio of creations.

3. Become a Used Car Buying Consultant

With a knowledge of cars, plus the proper test equipment (for checking the engine, transmission, brakes, font-end alignment, and chassis), you go with your customer to check out the used car they are thinking of buying. Advertise your service next to the advertisements offering used cars for sale. After a while you will get to know people in this field and you can pick up more money by acting as a middleman in sales between private individuals.

4. Start a Baby Items Rental Service

You rent everything needed for a baby's care - stroller, playpen, high chair, etc. When the customer's baby outgrows them you rent to the next couple. Of course, you must advertise, and also send direct mail pieces to all couples with new births (get their names from hospitals and newspapers).

5. Become an Advertising Copywriter

Many small and home based businesses don't have the knowledge or experience to write their own advertisements or web site copy. If you do have that experience, this could be the business for you!

6. Start a Mini Blind Cleaning Service

Cleaning blinds is time consuming and often a job that gets overlooked. Start a business cleaning other people's blinds. There are franchises to start this type of business, or you could start from scratch.

7. Become a Numerology Consultant

Many people believe in the power of numbers to guide their lives and shape their character. If you are able to interpret the power of numbers, why not start a business helping others to understand the significant numbers in their lives?

Whatever, home-based business you decide to start - I wish you every success!
