Why You Shouldn't Spend More Than 10k on a Carpet Cleaning Truck Mount

Have you decided to upgrade from the portable, or do what I did and spend a few more bucks initially and skip the portable phase? I am here to tell you that you should not spend more than five thousand dollars on your first truck mount machine. In my article "Carpet Cleaning Machines 101" I reinforced the point that carpet cleaning machines do two things, spray and suck. There is no reason, if you are starting out, to spend more than 10 thousand dollars on a machine.
What price gets you...
Machines that are in and above the 20k range get you aesthetic value. These machines look pretty, have cool names, and in my opinion are way over-engineered. These machines are pretty exotic, they have sensors, clutches, and other functional parts. These parts will not only break and overhead to your business, but they will also confuse you and add time to each job. Start with a basic spray and suck machine and learn how to use that before upgrading to the machine with all the bells and whistles. As long as you have the PSI, suction, and heat, you are doing fine. You don't need a Ferrari of a machine to do a good job. Keep it simple!
What I did, and what I think you should do...
I searched Craigslist constantly when I was looking for a machine. I was able to pick up a van and machine for under 6 thousand dollars. The van needed a little work, in the end I ended up spending closer to 7 thousand total and now I have a fully functional, good looking truck mount and van. The truth is that I found a great deal. You can too, all you have to do is put a little extra effort in your search for a machine.
Results...
In the end you won't have a loan outstanding to pay for every month. You should be able to own your rig outright in a few months. You will have taken a giant step for your business and for your customers. Think of this as just another step, like when you bought your first machine (if it was a portable), then when you upgrade, you will have a better framework to base your work off.

If You Own a Truck Or Van, Here's How to Make $424 a Day

You love having your own truck or van. You're often the one friends and family call on when they need a new recliner hauled to their home or for someone to carry the sports equipment to the big game. It's a pleasure to help people out, to take advantage of the service your vehicle can provide. But what if you could make money doing it? Good money too. Seriously, it's all possible by starting your own haul-away business.

Haul-away businesses do just that. They haul away things people want to get rid of, whether it's a broken recliner, old sports equipment or other items. They take them to the local landfill or recycler, which helps to ease the stress on their customers. The items they take are often large or heavy, and they're things their local garbage company won't take. Someone has to haul away this broken stove and this busted treadmill. A junk-hauling business will do just that.

Best of all, there is no formal training required. You don't have to study for a test or purchase a 14-DVD box set to learn how to start your own haul-away service. You have a truck or van, so you already have the main component needed for success. Are you motivated, good with people and ready to work hard and take advantage of the benefits of owning your own business? Great! Then you're ready to get started.

But first, you're probably curious about how much money you can make having your own haul-away business. It's important to know this is not a get-rich quick scheme. You probably won't be able to buy your own yacht or your own island off the coast of Australia, but you can make some really good money. So, how much? After deducting dump fees, vehicle maintenance and fuel, the national average comes to $53 an hour. So let's do the math. If you work an eight-hour day, according to the national average you could make $424 a day! Let's take this a step further. What does that mean for an entire five-day week of work? $2,120. A year? $106,000!

Unwanted junk and debris clutters our homes. A great stress reliever is to get rid of items, to clean out the attic and finally throw away that broken exercise bike. But a lot of us don't have trucks or vans or any way to haul these items away. So what do we do? We call a junk-hauling business. We recognize this is a valuable service and are willing to pay good money to see that it gets done.

Would you like to turn your truck or van into a profitable business? That's all possible by starting your own haul-away service. Soon you'll be enjoying the profits and the freedom and benefits that come from owning your own business. To learn more, read Haul It Away, available at: rel=nofollow http://extraincomebulletin.com

How to Earn $43 to $87 an Hour With Your Pickup Or Van

Wouldn't it be nice to turn that truck or van of yours into profit? Good money too. It's all possible by starting your own haul-away service. Everyday people need junk, trash and other discarded items taken off their property. That's where you come in. Hauling away items that people no longer want can be quite profitable. In fact you can make $53 an hour doing it.

Over time, appliances and furniture break down. A brand new house is completed, leaving behind a lot of debris that needs to be removed. A house is foreclosed and must be cleaned out. So what does that mean? A lot of work for you and your haul-away business. Not only can you make money simply picking up the stuff, but you can also make money by selling it at a garage sale or recycling the items if appropriate.

So how much money are we talking about here? A large number of junk-hauling services charge by the size or weight of the load. If they have to get stuff from upstairs or a basement or it's simply difficult to reach, there is often a surcharge for this as well. How much you get paid does vary by the location of where you live. Haul-away services on the East or West coasts typically make more than those in the Midwest, South, or in rural areas. Still, after you deduct the cost of dump fees, gas, vehicle maintenance and other overhead, the national average comes to $53 an hour. So wait, if you worked a full eight-hour day how much money would that be? $424 a day! And that's not even counting if you're able to resell any of the items you haul away.

Previously you've been using your truck just to haul things for yourself, or maybe to transport sports equipment to your son's little league games. Now you can turn that truck into money.

Most junk-hauling businesses charge by the cubic yard, typically between $30 and $50 a cubic yard. They also have a minimum charge if it's a single item, say a couch for instance. Jobs that require a little extra work (cleaning, taking things apart, having to bag or box items) usually bring with it a surcharge. Often, this is in the form of an hourly wage in addition to the charge for the size or weight of the load. At the moment, an average hourly wage is $20 to $25. Also, if you are working outside your normal business hours or you're asked to do a rush job, these can also bring with it various surcharges.

By starting your own haul-away service, it's quite possible to make $43 to $87 an hour or more. You charge based on the size or weight of the load and add a surcharge if there is additional work involved, or you're performing the task outside your normal business hours. You also stand the chance you'll be hauling away an item you can sell yourself for big profits. There is simply unlimited profit potential by starting your own haul-away business.
