Vision Without Action

If you can remember back when you were a child and your teacher asked you what you wanted to be when you grew up, some of you can remember saying you wanted to be a doctor, a police officer, a nurse, a fire fighter, etc. But I can almost guarantee that 80% of you can admit that you are not what you wanted to be when you grew up. The question would be, why?

Why is it that you did not become what you wanted to be? Why is it that you ended up becoming someone else rather than that person you wanted to be? The reason is because you had a goal, you had a vision or what you wanted to become when you grew up but you did not take the proper action or choices to get you to where you needed to be. Somewhere along the way, you lost out or forgot about your vision, your goal, or your purpose.

You simply had the vision without action and the truth is, you are reading this agreeing with me 100%. Then you look back from time to time kicking yourself in the rear saying, why didn't I do that? What was I thinking? Why did I choose this course? Lets face it, we have all been down that road. But the beautiful thing is that it is not the end of the road. Why Most Online Marketers and Business Owners Fail

There are 3 big reasons why most online marketers and business owners fail and it doesn't have anything to do with commitment or dedication. It has to do with what they have been getting taught!

Just because you know how to make a great crust, doesn't mean you can bake a great pie!

Here are the 3 reasons most online marketers and business owners fail:

1. They don't have a clear and compelling vision from start to finish!

Taking courses that teach you how to do pay per click, article writing, YouTube video making, and all that stuff is great, it really is. But it is also a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME if you don't first understand the big picture and how everything comes together to make the whole.

In order to be successful you need everything that you do to work in harmony as a single unit and you cannot get to that point if you don't understand or have never been properly shown how the "big picture" is supposed to look.

Without that, you will be running around like a chicken with its head cut off not accomplishing much other than some serious frustration. (If you're a vegetarian you may substitute "chicken with its head cut off" for "Celery with its stalk cut off!"

There are two parts within your vision you need to focus on:

A. Understand who your true prospects are and create your vision around them!

Understand who your ideal client is! Beginning marketers often make the mistake of trying to appeal to as broad of an audience as possible. This is the exact opposite of what you should be doing.

B. Build "Emotional Triggers" and "Hot Buttons" into your vision!

Understand how your prospects make decisions to buy your product or service and communicate in a way that makes them want to TAKE ACTION! It all comes down to hitting "Emotional Triggers". We all buy on emotions first and then justify our purchases with logic.

2. They don't understand how to properly setup their "marketing funnels" within their vision or they have yet to be taught what a marketing funnel is!

A marketing funnel is basically a series of progressive steps (generally setup through an automated process such as an email AutoResponder) that allow you to create multiple streams of income as you guide people through your funnel and build a relationship of trust which makes your final selling point an easy "yes" decision.

If that is all knew to you or sounds scary or difficult, it's not. In fact, once you see how it's done, it is very simple to do yourself, and I have a free training series available that will teach you how to do all of it with step by step instructions.

3. They don't have a mentor!

As the song goes, "everybody needs somebody sometime". We all need a mentor who will help keep us on track, keep us motivated, and give us feedback as we build our online business. Getting Your Online Business Going

Well if like me you have spent hours looking at how to break into the online internet marketing businesses without much success, then these thoughts may just help you.

I have spent literally hundreds of dollars buying many products that promise to make me a millionaire overnight. Yes it is true that people are making hundreds of thousands of dollars per month through their websites be it direst selling or affiliate. BUT nor everyone!

Most people stumble their way through buying this product, then the next one, then the next one but still no progress.

Why?

The plain fact of the matter is that to be successful you need a vision, a plan and dedication and then and only then if you have a good product well marketed will you be successful.

This takes time!

I have four basic rules that I apply to anything I do:->

1) I get inspired. Not just a vague idea of what I want to achieve but a real vision with lots of detail about the outcome. How I will feel, what I see and hear around me to the point that I convince myself that it has already happened. If you have seen the secret you will know what I mean, if you have not then get a copy and watch it, what I am saying will then make sense. Remember to put a date when this will be a reality. i.e. It is the 22 june 2012 and I am feeling.....

2) Take action. DO something, if you take no action you will definitely not achieve anything more than you currently have. As I said, once you have the vision, create a plan of the key things you have to do to achieve your vision. I do not mean a blow by blow detailed plan, just the key steps. The way to do this is to divide the time between now and when you will have manifested your dreams by 2. At that point what will you have already completed (write it down), then again divide the time between now and the midpoint by 2 and decide what you will have done by that point which supports achieving the mid point. Repeat this process over and over until you have a 1 week step defined. THEN DO IT --- TAKE ACTION, do those things you have written down. You are now on your way, the rest will take care of itself.

3) Enjoy the results. The first thing to enjoy is your vision, then you enjoy having a plan, then you enjoy the success of achieving the first week then the next and so on. Review your progress on a weekly basis and only adjust the details for the next weeks actions. It is amazing how quickly the time flies past and before you know it you have achieved your vision. After all you are living in the moment with purpose.

4) Seek an expert, a coach or a mentor to help you. Remember when you learnt to walk? Well probably not, but you certainly had many people to help and encourage you along the way. They showed you the tricks, they encouraged you, they picked you up and got you going again when you stumbled or fell down. So find someone who has already done it successfully to be your support and speed your progress up. Share your vision with them. If they are good, they will give you many things to get you going but do not expect to get this help for free. There is no such thing as a free dinner. But as I said if they are good, it is well worth it.

I have followed these rules and am really enjoying my journey and getting the rewards I planned for. I? have a fantastic coach who I speak to every week, at least once by phone all as part of his minimal monthly charge.

Vision - What it Takes to Make It

One of the defining characteristics that separate the Winners from the Losers is Vision. There is a lot of people in the MLM Industry that have only one thing on their mind. That thing is Money. The problem with this, is if that's all you have on your mind, your vision gets scattered and foggy. There are so many people that if they don't get what they want immediately, or have overnight success, they quit. Do you know why? Because they don't have Vision.

You need to dig down deep inside of you and find what really drives you. It could be that you want to travel more, you may want to buy a house, you may want to get out of debt, or you may want to simply have more time for yourself. The fact is, everyone has different reasons, and there is no right or wrong reason, you just need to find yours. Take your mind off MONEY for a minute and see what really drives you.

A good way to do this is to think what you would do if you won a Million Dollars. Would you still be the same person? Think about the things you would do every day that you can't or aren't doing now. Would you ave the same friends? Would you live in a bigger home or even live in the same town? How Strong is Your Vision Statement?

My question to all of you fabulous homepreneurs is this:
How strong is your Vision? And, do you have a Vision Statement for your business?

Some of you may think that your vision for your company is so set in stone that nothing could deter you from it. Now there are others of you that change with every new thing that comes along. Why do we do this? Well, because some times it is easier to learn something new than to stick with the idea that may take some time to cultivate. Our culture loves instant success and every new product and service will promise you this.

Really you won't know how strong your vision is until you've found yourself in a position where you've been given a little less to work with, or perhaps you are at a position less than where you envisioned yourself to be. Family and friends have an amazing impact on how we think as well. Even if they think they are looking out for your best interest, many times this isn't the case. What happens during these times is that we start to question our own vision that we originally felt so strongly about.

Working within your true gifts whether it be creativity, science, numbers, talking, leadership, writing, ministry or many of all of the above, no one gift is better than the other. However, if you are working within your gifts and are enriching them as you grow in life, with strong vision for yourself, I guarantee that you will be successful in whatever it is that you do.

One of the first exercises I do with my clients in my Empowerment 4u! Coaching strategy sessions is figuring out what you enjoy and what you don't, as a child and as an adult. This really helps me in determining what may be holding you from your vision or taking that next successful step in your business. Many of you are not ready for success - you are standing in your own way. How may you be doing this? Well, ask yourself some of these questions:

Are you serving your clients and constantly giving them good service, product or content unconditionally? Or, do they always have to buy from you? Was there ever a point that you were so far away from your vision you just couldn't fathom it coming true so you switched to a different vision? Do you do this often?

Have you ever held yourself back because you just didn't think you were ready or knew enough to follow your vision? Has a personal distraction or disaster come along that made you waiver on your vision? Or, completely give up that particular dream? Are you doing things just to impress "the other guy"? Are you really giving your business your best at this very moment?

My opinion on this is this... Unless you have a strong vision for yourself and your business that you can fall back upon when you waiver, when things aren't quite at there best, you will never be truly successful. Whatever success you have right now, embrace it. No matter how small or mundane. Once you do this then you can move to the next step of success. Have the mindset that your business IS successful and work from a place that coincides with your vision.

You've heard the old adage "Prosper where you're planted" right? Well, treat your business the way you want it to be, treat your spouse as though he/she is that loving, caring person you desire, start treating your body as though it IS healthy and fit, see where I'm going here...Start to work your business and live your personal life as you dreamt it to be and soon it will become what you envisioned. It's the little things that you embrace that will help you get there.

It's about giving it your best shot even when your vision seems the furthest away. It's about going that extra mile EVEN when no one is paying attention. If you are constantly looking for recognition and promotion, you aren't working towards your vision. Everything you do needs to work hand in hand towards building your vision, even if you aren't getting a pat on the back. Is that hard? You bet it is? Recognition makes us feel good and if we don't get it, self doubt tends to set in.

It's funny, one of my mentors told me that whenever I started to feel a little uneasy, or maybe I handled a difficult situation without whining and complaining about it, I just handled it even though I felt a little uncomfortable, she'd say "Okay Deb, that was another test. You past and something great is about to happen. You are ready to go that next step." And, it always works that way. I step off that cliff and somehow another bridge is built making me stronger and stronger as try new things.

So if you don't have a strong Vision Statement for your company, or perhaps you change it frequently, I'd highly suggest re-visiting your Vision Statement and make sure that is true to you and who you want to be within your company. When you are working from the heart, it's hard to waiver too far from the truth.

One of the most important reasons I started a home business was because I wanted more time with my family, and didn't want to be constrained by the vagaries of running a traditional "brick and mortar" business, including the headaches of negotiating franchise agreements, under-performing employees, business rent, and so on.

The other, and even more important aspect is this: to be able to create my own daily timetable: to be able to decide when and where at my family's convenience, and not an employer. This is a powerful drive for many business owners, not just those based in a home environment.

The downside of this, however, is isolation. Amongst all the hassles of being part of a traditional business, or being an employee, there, at the bottom line, people, with ideas, with hopes and dreams, and much more besides. These people, they are the teams, the community.

When you work from home, there is no one there apart from your own self-talk to keep you motivated, or to work towards a deadline. You sent the agenda. You come up with the strategies and implement them. You do the best you can.

This can potentially have a significant pitfall: you have no one to bounce your ideas off, no one to probe you with the awkward questions.

If you are going to become really successful, however, you need to play the game differently. If you just remain solo, you are at best self-contained, but in the vast majority of cases, those who win the most times, are the people who connect with others.

Find like minded entrepreneurs to connect with, to mastermind and share ideas. You will want to learn the skills associated with building teams, motivating and helping others, delegating, leading, nurturing. All these play a significant part to really successful entrepreneurs.

It does depend on how big your vision is, but behind every successful entrepreneur there is usually a key team of players, supporters, administrators, systems, and much more.

So, if you want to fulfill a significant goal, you will also want to find others around you with whom to create your vision.

If that's what you want, go find a team. Connect with others. Build relationships. Meet with people. Share ideas. Learn from their mistakes as well as your own.

Find others to share your vision, and then start to fulfill it by learning, listening and strategizing with key players. Then success will follow with a much higher degree of certainty.
