This success has enabled many to create their own financial independence and this fact proves that home based Internet business opportunities do work!

I want to get rich quick!
Many people come to these home based Internet business opportunities searching for their pot of gold and looking to get rich quick! On this basis they select an opportunity, start fully fired up with enthusiasm, don't see immediate results, become disillusioned, convince themselves their home based business opportunity doesn't work and look for another opportunity - sadly, they then repeat the process!
Investing in something that does not work!
Sometimes, in the rush to get started people fail to do the proper research into the home based Internet business opportunities available. They are so keen to get started that they don't ensure they are investing in a proven Internet Marketing program that's current, relevant and capable of generating the income level they desire. There are so many opportunities available, but many of them fail to deliver and only serve to starve you of your hard earned cash!
I want to make easy money on the Internet! i.e. not do any work!
This is my number one, guaranteed method for failure! But amazingly there are those who will invest a significant amount of money in a home based business opportunity and then do little or no work. No business, let alone a home based business opportunity will survive if no works gets done! If there is one - let me know about it, I'd be interested!
Quit too early!
This is the situation that saddens me the most. Unfortunately many people, if they don't see results early enough, give up just on the point of success! I recall a famous quote by Thomas Edison who said "any of life's failures are men who did not realise how close they were to success" - and this certainly still holds true today in the home business opportunity space. Its worth remembering that building any business is not a race - its a step by step process where you build the foundations first and reap the rewards second.
Try to go it alone!
Trying to make money on the Internet, or succeed in a work from home Internet business opportunity, can be very difficult. For many there will be new skills to learn, a huge amount of information to absorb, problems or roadblocks that can stop you in your tracks. Any of these factors can lead to a drop in motivation, frustration or even the decision to quit.
In concluding this short article let me offer this advice - to maximise your chances of building a successful work from home, Internet based business do your research, find something you like, find a proven model in that area that works, find someone who is prepared to help and mentor you - and never give up. This approach will go a long way to ensuring your success!
