Successful bloggers and internet marketers are testaments that you can indeed make money on the web. There are hundreds of different ways to make money online. All you really need to do is choose a way or a couple of ways and work your butt off. Those who will likely make it are the ones who are willing to spend the hours and use all the resources available at their disposal.

1) Building niche oriented websites - It is a proven fact that a website has more chances of making money if it focuses on a specific topic or theme. This is because visitors of a niche website are very targeted so the website likely has what the visitor is looking for. So what you do is research for a profitable topic or niche, build a website around it, drive traffic to that website and when you believe that the traffic is good enough, start monetizing it.

2) Write a blog - The business model surrounding a money-making blog is simple. You write regularly about a topic you love and are passionate about. When people start coming in to read what you are writing, you can monetize this incoming traffic either directly or indirectly. You can place paid advertisements on your blog or promote affiliate products and services.

3) Direct selling - Do you have your own products and services that you may be able to sell online? If your answer is yes then direct selling is probably the best way to do it. Just build a website to serve as your online store. Get an online ordering and paying system in place and you're good to go.

4) Sell eBooks - It doesn't matter what your skills and talents are. Chances are there are people from around the world who want to learn them. Let us say for instance that you are a river fisherman. You can write an eBook about river fishing and offer it for sale online.

5) Take online surveys - All you have to do is fill out survey forms and you'll get paid for it. Be careful though with the companies you are signing up with because some are illegitimate and are nothing but scams.

These ways to make money on the web don't require full time attention from you. You can do them on your spare time or whenever you want.
