Since you need to be online for many hours every single day, you have access to a wealth of information and digital fancies scattered around Internet. The temptation to wander around and check out the latest Hollywood gossip and play online game or two and download some nice movies that will keep you busy during idle times is always there.

1) Missing deadlines: This is made worse if clients expect you to meet those deadlines. They are the ones that have trusted you with their hard earned money. Any delays can be deemed a breach of trust. And it can ruin your reputation and credibility.

2) Missing Opportunities: Digital Marketing is a constantly an evolving field. Something new is invented everyday and the difference between a million dollar paycheck or a ten-dollar paycheck can boil down who will be able to capitalize on a new opportunity first. Blink and you can potentially lose the big chance.

3) Reduced Profit: Digital Marketing is about how much you can produce. Your profit is dependent on how productive you can be. If you cannot invest your time and resources managing your web business then you will lag behind your competitors.

The solution to avoid this procrastination is simple. Practice discipline. My mentor once told me, successful people are always discipline people. You need to master enough self-control to stay away what is not relevant to your business.

But more often than not it's not easy, remind yourself that you can always reward yourself after your work of the day is finished.
