1. People will not give you their name and email address for nothing. They'll want something in return. You need to offer them a quality and valuable free gift, probably an ebook. Either find one for free, buy one with giveaway rights, or create your own. Your own is best as you can stamp your personality on it. This will make it unique to you. That is, even before they've bought anything from you, just being on your list gives them access to original material and products. It's worth spending some time on this.

2. Buy an autoresponder account. Free ones will have ads on your emails, and they're not so reliable. Write a series of emails that your subscribers will be sent after they sign up for your list, depending on what kind of information you want to send. Also, create a web form to collect their email address. The autoresponder system will take you through the process of doing this.

3. Find a free squeeze page template or buy one. You'll need a free or bought HTML editor to put your information into the squeeze page. It's only job is to get the visitor's email address. Write the benefits they'll get from your ebook. Get the code for the web form you made and paste it into the squeeze page's code where you want it to appear on the page.

4. Buy a domain name and hosting account. Point the domain name to your hosting which will have sent you the information to use. Upload your squeeze page to your server. Now, when visitors sign up, their email will be sent to your autoresponder. If you have no other way, then send your ebook attached to an email in your autoresponder.
