More and more these days peoples' worth is being judged based on how much time they put into work that earns money. As there is often a requirement that both parents in a family work to 'make ends meet' the value of childcare and other non paid work has diminished.

One of the best solutions I have found when questioning what to do with spare time is to take up internet marketing, or more specifically affiliate marketing.

With the growth of the internet it is becoming more and more important for companies to advertise and even sell goods and services online. Companies use a variety of methods to gain an online presence including using affiliates.

Basically the job of the affiliate is to direct people to their website so they can gain a commission for any sale made. There is a variety of ways affiliates can do this including ones that are totally free. Internet Marketing can be an ideal way to spend your spend time because -

It does not require any special skills to start
It has very low start-up costs
You can start spending your time on money-making activities right away
You can work whenever it best suits you
The income you receive can be substantial
It can be fun

The benefits of starting your own affiliate marketing business at home can be more than just financial.

Imagine when someone asks "what do you do" to be able to reply "I run my own business."Or having the knowledge that whenever you have spare time you could be spending it on a money-making activity if you wanted to.

That is on top of satisfaction that comes with adding an extra $2000 a month to the family income from something you were doing in your spare time.
