Your Email Provider May Be Protecting You

People are looking for a way to earn money on the internet through online business. While doing so, they begin to receive hundreds of emails. With so many scam emails being sent to unsuspecting and innocent potential victims, email providers are taking measures to help protect their clients. They regularly move to the spam email inbox any emails that the service deems to be from someone you may not know and which is likely spam.

Although most legitimate companies vehemently insist that their distributors and representatives are not allowed to use spam, it still gets through. People working in home based businesses who are trying to get customers and prospects often buy contacts from email lists. These are supposedly people who have asked for information on earning money from home. However, most would not like their email addresses being sold to other people. There is no stopping it, however, and spam emails keep circulating.

Often spam inboxes contain more emails that the personal emails a person receives in a day. While most people probably simply delete the spam without looking at it, there are occasionally personal emails which end up in the spam inbox because the computer thinks it is from an unknown person.

It is interesting once in a while to check the spam inbox to see if there is anything of value there. There are probably thousands of emails which are inadvertently deleted because they are mistakenly put into the spam. It does help to have a spam filter working to remove most of the unwanted emails from the inbox. The spam filters provided by email companies is one way that they are trying to protect the customer (whether with a paid service or not).

In checking through the spam inbox one day, I noticed an email from China. I immediately knew it was a scam and was glad that it ended up in the spam inbox. However, there was something else that the email provider had done to try and help the person receiving the email.

Across the top of the email outlined in a bright red background was the following notice: WARNING! This message my not be from whom it claims to be. Beware of following any links in it or of providing the sender with any personal information.

This warning message should be a huge red flag to quickly discard this email. If any links are provided, they could easily infect your computer. If you respond to the email, they may be able to obtain information from which they will immediately set to work to cheat you out of money.

The dishonest deals persist from around the world. Be careful to resist the temptation to respond and find out more about any so called opportunity to get money from them.
